I guess what ticks me about this thread is he put the option "Yes, especially Christianity" Which seems to me to target a certain group of people. And yes one that I am a part of. It doesn't seem right to do that, idk if it is against the rules but it sure as hell seems like it to me, especially from my point of view.

I find this thread highly offensive and the product of a kid who thinks he's cool because he disrespects The Lord. (Mine at least)

    Additional Comment:
    Also...

The part of the Christian following that are "like sheeps to the slaughter" or so to say is a minority. Not everyone is a Catholic and not everyone is an Evangelical. They just give us a bad name for being extremely conservative and "against everything."

    There are liberal Christians.

What about the dinosaurs, Siris? We can carbon-date things (a very accurate process) and they say 65 million years. Nothing you say will make me believe that scientists just put bones in the ground to fool us.

Also, the Earth is 65 million years old. The proof of Earth's age is there, and you'd be a very brainwashed person indeed to believe otherwise.

Im a tad late i see.
I don't have time to read this, but i can guess whats going on.
Everyone probably posting obscure facts, and claiming their opinion is fact, more conflict, if the bible is so peacefull, why can it cause so much hatred, disrespect and awfull LIES. All made up by different people from different generations, a gigantic bloody ****ing past, And you people respect it? you are kidding yourselves out of fear of death, when you most often in fact cause it.

Post you individual opinions on what i have said, go ahead, fuel the hypocrisy.

what god are you refering to? allah, yawaeh (spelt wrong but i tried), the christian god, zeus, athena, etc. remember there is more than 1 religion

also mathsghdksfsf-a, people haven't been around for millions of years, we are a relativly young species on this planet.

i believe that religion was made up as a safety blanket, but i still respect the fact that some people do believe. that is one of the reasons i not only know about my own religion, but i have a greater knowledge of other religions then the average person. i'm not saying i'm an expert, but i know enough

Ok, Tool if I came up to you IRL and called you a **** sucking anal loving douche bag would you punch me in the face? If yes then do not tell me I should not be offended. Disrespect is disrespect and it is MEANT to offend. I just happen to find this thread particularly offensive because it targets Christianity.

Maybe if you didn't particularly have to bash my religion I wouldn't be offended but it seemed to aim straight at Christianity. I am EXTREMELY hard to offend and I have to admit you did a damn good job. It's been a while since I've actually seen something that disturbed me such as your thread.

In real life you often see me being warned and getting gawked at for being blunt and telling the TRUTH that offends people. There is no proof that religion is a lie though, so you're not being blunt and your not telling the TRUTH. It would be impossible to tell the truth about the subject so I don't know why you even touched on it.

Either way congratulations you are officially a **** head.

You people need to comprehend the actual science of a god or higher power existing.

HOW do they have these "powers" or "control" over such an expancive world?
HOW do they cause the said-"miracles" that they do.
    WHERE are they?
    HOW were they "born"
Untill you can explain this, and other essential yet basic questions. My previous statement stands

I believe in God, only I spell it Nature.

i explained dinosaurs already. but just read no body can really say how old the earth is because some facts show that its is 65 million years old while other facts show it is far younger. evidence that may show that the earth is waaay old my have been buried in such a way that it somehow presurved so that it keeped and didnt degrade like it should have. also eveidence about the earth is really young good have been preserved in a way that it degraded rapidly. there is no exact evidence to prove fully one way or another. please dont get angry or frustrated with me, i am just telling what i know.

also carbon dating is not so precise. and i have read an article about it and it said that carbon dating can only narrow down to 1000's of years or so (it might have said 100,000). also many different things may have happened like i said b4 to preserve or not perserve.

i will say this though. what i hate about ppl that follow religion is this: if i ask a valid question and the answer i get is have faith or i have faith. that just pisses me off because that is not an answer and what it tells me is that that person has a narrow mind and just is blowing me off. any1 else feel that way?

i cant remember exactly but i want to say you burn for 7 years...(i could be rwrong about it being 7 years but impretty sure)

    Additional Comment:
now that i actually think about it i see that it is said forever because they higher ups try to control you and since forever sounds a lot more frightening then a few years..
I heard something about a 1,000 year reign of christ when everyone who ever lived or died heaven or hell will be with christ and be taught by him and peace and love and bla bla bla bla then after that satan will be loosed and anyone who gives into his temptation or sins will be sent to the lake of fire for eternity after that your screwed

so yes God does provide a way to get back into his graces

Before you go using words that make no sence to what I said, go to dictionary.com

    Animist
    1. The belief in the existence of individual spirits that inhabit natural objects and phenomena.
    2. he belief in the existence of spiritual beings that are separable or separate from bodies.
    3. The hypothesis holding that an immaterial force animates the universe.
Very far from what I believe in.

    Daoism
philosophical system developed by of Lao-tzu and Chuang-tzu advocating a simple honest life and noninterference with the course of natural events

    Also, very far.

Be coherant, comprehend what I said before responding please.

i have yet to ever have seen a miracle and until i do i will be sceptic.

as for what i said b4 how were they made ...how were we made who were the ppl that made the gods made and on and on... and its like i said.. there has to be a start somewhere.

you know whats funny... the reason jesus came to earth the first time was because ppl were saying the samethings we basicly are. we were questioning his existencse so he came to straighten things out......

i was talking about your belief in nature, not the points u made above that line

also what u said about the two beliefs is a dictionary's point of view, everyone has their own idea about it. how would a dictionary define christianity?... is that what everyone agrees on? i think not
