Distinct Perspective

Walking through this world an unseen shadow,
I see many things that define modern living.
Once, I saw one stole what another did reap and sow.
Another time, I met a man who never stopped giving.
The difference in the two is easy to discern, but what about the similarities?
To take and to give: how are they related?
The case of the thief and the humble man I’ll put into clarity.
Even in my own words the issue can be debated.
Simply put: one gained and one lost.
However, they both made decisions that affected their lives, but they didn’t gain and lose in the order you first thought.
One knows his good deeds and worries not,
While the other strives, to gain all earthly riches and power till the day of his death.
But they are meaningless on the day of his death, because he has nothing left.
