Depths of Darkness
None hold sway over the shadows.
Depths that are vast and endless,
Voids containing raging minions.
Light this portal swallows,
Leaving those who enter defenseless,
Causing them to make rash decisions.
They break a man, mind and soul,
And leave his senses senseless.
Forcing upon him avid visions.
Containing creatures so very malign,
That none may confront them and prevail.
Might that mortals alone cannot match.
Leaving the nations deserted of divine,
Intervention due to their own evil.
Fueling deceptive theories that hatch,
And leave people worried, searching for a sign.
Tormented and tattered, their faith just as feeble,
As the roof of a hut, covered in thatch.
But behold, a word is spoken of such divine,
Authority that its utterance uproots this cabal,
And casts it to a pit upon which is placed a latch,
That none may undo except for one.
The one known as the Father of the Son.
