Can you post the actual magic find equations that you used to get the "actual" magic find, I am interested in seeing how much certain amounts will give you.

Very nice guide. Still I have a question. I want to know the BOTTOMLINE of the whole explanation you gave, becuase I am confused a bit. What is the bottomline? Are you saying that 400%MF is best? Or should I go for 700%MF? I said 700 becuase that is usually what I am able to manage.

The more the better definately, but if it has a effect on your killing power,( Ie doubles your time to do a meph run) maybe you should cut back a little. There is only a small benefit especially once you pass 500MF (although of course still positive), so dont trade everything for that extra 50%MF from 500 to 550 or w/e? does that make sense?

If you traded you isted occy in for a 6 isted crystal sword and your faster cast rate than can't keep up with the stygian dolls on the meph run you should go back to you occy. (or learn to switch weapons faster in this case, but obviously that doesn't help for other equipment)

    Additional Comment:

If anyone wants the exact values, d/l the d2drop calculator from the utilities section of the d2sector downloads. Enter your magic find and click 'calculate real magic find'

Well, armor is Skullder, or Eni for any MFer anyway, so you don't need to change that.

I more meant armor as in the not just body armor sense. Like chancies for frostburns/magefists and arach for goldwrap/tals. Ill make it say Equipment :)

OK, another question. This weapon switch thing. For example Meph is very near dead. Now, can I make my last hit with my normal weapon but switch to my MF weapon BEFORE HE DIES? Or do I have to make the last hit WITH the MF weapon?

The "killing blow" is what counts, so last hit with MF weapon, or better yet switch weapons and let your merc kill meph. (adds mercs mf in and your feeble mf weapon doesn't have to do damage)

edit: should have refreshed my page faster. raz is correct :)
