TorchID Question

So...I download TorchID, and already have D2Loader. Then, the TorchID readme says to put the DLL into a folder named "Plugin" which should already be in the D2 directory. Conveniently, there is no folder named "Plugin".....

Does anyone have any experience with the TorchID program that could possibly tell me why this is?

If you read my guide, I said add the file to or create the plugin folder if it is not already there. D2Loader does not automatically create one, you would only have one if you have added D2Loader plugins in the past.

Right click in the white area of your Diablo II folder and select New... > Folder, name it Plugin and add the DLL file into there. Presto.

As I said in my guide, running multi copies of Diablo II or using the Torch ID program will not currently get you banned but they are the most, and only likely parts of D2Loader that may get you banned in the future

TorchID WILL DEFINATELY get you banned, cause d2loader loads the dll into the d2 process memory which is scanned by warden...

y would they ban somthing that helps u not get scamed!!! makes no sense but i belive it. y did they make it so torches cant go in trade screen?

To prevent people from trading them... I use torchid but im going to delete because i do not wanna get banned because i dont trade torches in games so i dont have any use for this. But WM good guiide for it

Simple question, simple answer. First, like 1337-Orange said, blizz does not want torchs to be traded. Second is, that d2loader and TorchID are 3rd party programs which are NOT ALLOWED by blizzard.

I never said it was not detectable, only that it will not get you banned. And so far, it will not. D2Loader has been detectable since it was released, yet Diablo II does not ban people for using it. So far, it is the same with TorchID. The only hack I know of that does not get you banned because they don't know you are using it is Stings Maphack, mostly everything else they know but do not ban you for it.

I have used the D2DropProtect DLL for ever. that is also a D2Loader injected DLL and you don't get banned for it. And so far, TORCH ID WILL ALSO NOT GET YOU BANNED, AND PROBABLY NEVER WILL

You need only to look at the Merc glitch and other things in the game that Diablo II cares too much about WoW to re-write Warden just to ban people that use certain D2Loader plugins and still do not ban people that do not (I know for sure that D2Loader is detectable, but they do not consider it a third party hacking tool, and will not get you banned)

hmm, i think blizzard should post this on its webbie cuz i mean it helps people from getting scammed. i just got a highlord and titans for knowing the other guys torch...man life is great
