Yea, but I've also rolled a pcomb - so I can't complain. My favorite tho is hel'n a spirit to try and roll a 35 and you end up with the same % u had the first place -.-

My rerolling efforts have only turned up a plain nec Curses GC.

I've rolled a pcomb with 15 life and a light sorc w/ 34 life. Took a lot of gems tho.

Rerolling is a cube recipie. Take three perfect gems of any type (skulls also) and put it in with a Magical (blue) item and it will reroll the modifiers on the magical item with the same Ilvl as before. It's used mostly for rerolling stats found on grand charms and small charms. The best charms for rerolling are typically found being dropped by pindle, baal, or nilithak. Baal and Nilithak have levels of 99, and pindle 98 (i think) so the charms the drop can pretty much have any modifier on them. Keep rerolling those same charms even if they give you crappy stats, eventually youll get something useful!

Honestly, for two months i've been taking ever single flawless gem i find, dumping them off onto a muel, making pgems, and rerolling the same GC i found on pindle and i havent got crap.

Well, the muel i'm using was rushed for forges is only like lvl 30, but that shouldn't make any difference right? The formula is Ilvl=Ilvl and it shouldn't matter your what clvl is, right?

i use a lvl 1 mule to reroll my gcs...and i still get skillers every once in a while. i dont reroll the same gc more than like 6 times though.

it makes a difference because when you are in higher difficulties you get better items
kind of like when you gamble in normal opposed to hell

Rerolling is pretty much what I do. I trade HRs for Pgems. Let's see over the past month I've rerolled a +6 Str PCombat GC, a +29 Life Barb Warcries GC, and a +175 To Poison Damage, +35 to life LC.

i've tried rerolling but i've never gotten anything good. i craft rings, hoping to get high dual leach/life or life, str, fcr rings.

You can, and actually that type of rerolling actually *adds* to the item level so you could potentially get better mods, the formula in on Arreat's on howit computes the new Ilvl...

But I don't see this widely used..

in 09 i used to roll nihl charms, got a 383 small psn charm, and some sick lit dmg and fire dmg charms. it was the shit until 1.1 came out and now the sc's can get upto 451 psn or something

does the level of the charcter doing the rerolling matter? or the level of the charm or the level of the monster droping it?
