yeah firewall sucks...i mean its alright for low lvl's or whatever..but..it sucks basically.
:/ i must beg ta differ but it is good in SOME places (viper temple is ok 2 use fire wall) but it generally suks
perhaps the reason that it isnt being used is much more logical. some people these days follow guides that they see posted, or they just simply build a char that they know about, and these sorcs that may be known just simply don't use fire wall cause they found another combination of spells besides using fire wall that could be used together to make their sorc strong. whee that was fun....
The part i like bout firewall is instant...not like meteor that u have to wait...but firewall has no synergies and stuffs...

Firewall rocks for a necro with Trang , casting poison/bone and flame, guess how it looks
firewall is bad/good because of no synergies. It's a good spell to invest in cause it is already powerful without it and it's a cheap way to get some fire. You shouldn't focus on it, in place of a blizzard or chain lightning, but it's cheap to get a very powerful spell. glacial spike, fw, thunderstorm is a good combo cause you can synergize the glacial spike and put points into mastery and then you have 3 very powerful skills that you can use at the same time. Not a bad build.
Dose anyone know the damage for meteor at lvl 2o with no synergies anf the damage for a lvl 2o firewall?
you can use a skill planner http://www.d2items.com/skills.html
or use hero editor to create char with skills you wanted
Sometimes i am just too lazy to create one and test it out :P
