Bleh, my phone line is 6 miles from the nearest company owned phone station. Only thing i can currently get is dial-up. It seems to come and go I forgot to metion that earlier.

Well if you have static in your line it must either be you have water in the line or that there is something that is interfering with it.
it could be the phone. Sounds stupid but that happened to me once, the line was fine just the phone was broke :P
There is no phone hooked up to my line. My parents line has like 5 or 6 phones hooked to it, but someone I talked to recommended I check my NID for any irregularities.

I had static on my phone and I think it was from the antenna.. check your antenna. Cant be sure tho
it could be from an old phoneline. The newer ones are more solid and durable to current statics. You could always switch to wireless internet or satelite internet. call your provider and find out of its available. My aunt is in a rural area about 20 minutes outside of town and she has satelite.
Satellite doesn't work for gaming. Its very fast, but there is a half second delay before the signal returns. meaning pings would already bee 500+.

well im not sure, but you could have some lines crossed somewhere in the initial box ur phone line is connected to before it reaches your house, try calling your provider and see if they can help
kinda like what razrmeth said
i had like, kinda the same problem like four times now, call ur ISP, they will end up calling the phone company, they will send a technician to fix ur lines because its not something u can do (if its the same case as mine)
