Im kinda a all around kinda person i like rap r&b rock etc. i live in atlanta which can kinda explain the rap and r&b parts. oh well i agree with splinter if u dont like it it doesnt mean it sux besides country ***en gay *** shit that does sux im sorry to all u country fans i mean it is the exception to the rule i cant stand the shit. i gotta tone down on the language b4 i get banned or sumtin
I dont like Rap. Call me stereotypical, but I dont want to listen to people talking about the rims on their car, the tvs in their house, their "hos", their money, etc... to a continuous, droning beat that goes no where.
i like rap n rock mostly rock but i <3 eminem his songs r funny and have funky beats:P
i dont like 50 cent that much tho only song from him thay i like is in the club but i like ALL songs from eminem <=)
most other rap sucks too, just a bunch of blacks huddled around a mike
Ah this is the public image that rap gets... Listen to some 2Pac and whatnot. One of his songs, Changes, actually talks about how racism should stop and fixing up the world.Originally Posted by pogo

Currently my favorite song is Everlast - What It's Like. (Not rap)
I'm liking old rock, soft rock, rock, rap, and... Hmm.... Hippy Music!
What I can't stand is super heavy death metal where the entire song is, "AHHHHHH **** THIS **** THAT AHHHHHHHH AHHHHHHHH" a la; Slipknot.
lol, I dont like Slipknot, but you just sorta contradicted yourself. You say that what I said is the public image rap gets...blah blah blah. And then you go on a say, "What I can't stand is super heavy death metal where the entire song is, "AHHHHHH **** THIS **** THAT AHHHHHHHH AHHHHHHHH" a la; Slipknot." "Super heavy death metal", I dont even think thats a genre. And even if it were, all metal isnt like that.
Yeah, that would be why I created my genre for it, Super Heavy Death Metal, where all they do is scream 4 letter words or yell. I realize most metal isn't like that, I even like some metal.
I was basically just saying, not all rap is like that.
Ok to end this... If you like rock n roll, you are a moron for not knowing Rap originated from Rock. Such as Run DMC they originated from AC/DC.
You kids don't like rap is because yall don't understand rap music. I only listen to rap and I hate rock.
btw eminem sucks, he doesn't know how to rap. 50 Cent and Notorious B.I.G pwnz.
I'm indifferent about Eminem. Whether you like Eminem or not, he has more talent than most of you combined, and some of his videos are funny as hell. If you listen to Eminem's, "The Way I Am," follow the lyrics. How the song is put together is ingenious. The song structure in, "The Way I Am," in a way reminds me of Nirvana's, "In-Bloom." If you know these two songs and you don't spot the similarities between the songs, then, you're not a true aficionado of music as an art. And, I bet that half of Nirvana fans out there don't even know why the lyrics to, "In Bloom," are so special.
i just sat here, read all these post.. and cant beilive how ppl can actually be so stereotypical about rap music.. but i guess i can see it with what kinda rap is on tv/radio lately.. go get the last 2pac cd that came out (b4 rezzurection anywayz.. better days).. almost every cd he has made, he talked about serious issues, and you can understand him! sure, hit em up is a pure bash on some other rappers.. but. then u turn on Dear Mama, Baby dont cry, changes.. and you realize this guy had serious heart when it came to issues like racism, women and other things!.. if you really dont like rap, fine, but try listening to tupac shakur and tell me all rap is about bling bling and hoes and that crap... you deserve to be smacked accross the head!! (sorry. im really into music, any kind, and i cant stand ppl who just bash a style a music, its like saying all rock is satanic music.. which if i remember well, was what it was thought of back when it came out)
Ok Tupac sucked cause he created the gang/sex/drugs music practically...
Run DMC is the only good Rap.
you suck. what did u created?? no shit. so stfu.Originally Posted by Lycshiftz

he didnt exactly create it, it was around b4 him.. hell, he only became popular after snoopdogg did. but sure, he did show it more, but keep in mind, he sang about his life. he grew up in projects, he dealt drugs at a young age, but he wrote all his own songs, which is why i got respect for him, he still was able to rise thru his struggles..
and just a question, does this mean everyone here that hates raps hates bands like linking park, project wyze, all those hybrids who does rap in there songs too? like some1 said, rap is an art, some people rap about sex, drugs, hoes, sure. but some other actually raps thoughtful things, i cant stand rappers like nelly, g-unit and them, because they just rap about stupid things (my oppinion, they can actually rap well, i just dont respect their lyrics) but theres alot more rappers out there who raps about struggles and things like that which actually makes you think
hrmmm... Im not sure if the story of tupac was true at all... but whatever.
If you want my opinion he was some rich kid who became famous because of his parents, notice how he was in a movie that had nothing to do with gangs or rapping before he started.
lol, trust me, his familly wasnt rich.. i was following his life story for a while.. he actually used his skills and a rapper and actor to take care of his mom, who actually started a foundation with 2pac's estate to help underprivelge kids to get into acting
i havent seen resurectionz yet, so im not sure wat that movie talks about.. but if anyone ever seen Poetic justice with janet jackson and 2pac, you can tell the guy was actualy talented.
