    Default PvM Trapper guide by Invisible

    Hello everyone! This is another guide done by me Invisible :) this is guide for a MF TRAP SIN.. now im warning you this guide will use enigma infinity it can cost you a little over 12 hrs.. but its really easy mf.. this trap sin can also rush hell and do much more then just mf!
    About the Assasin:
    The Order of Mage Slayers was formed after the Vizjerei survived the tragedy brought on by Bartuc and Horazon. Their purpose was to watch for rogue magi that might become corrupted by the forces of Evil. To be effective at this task they were trained in abilities that were not conducive to Demonic corruption. Living as rumor and myth to the general population, even other magi knew very little about this mysterious order. Their reputation was shrouded in mystery and the simple fear of their retribution almost ensured steadfast vigilance against corruption amongst those who knew they were real.
    Assassins do not employ the magical arts directly; rather, they use enchanted items that mimic elemental powers and can be used autonomously. To further avoid potential corruption, they focus on the natural abilities of the mortal body--powers of the mind and unarmed combat
    STATS:
    Strenth: just enough to get gear on because Strenth use useless for a trapper since traps are magic strenth does not aply.
    Dex: none. you dont need max block for this assassin.
    Vit: the rest you need a lot of life period.
    mana: None
    Here is something that can help you out.

    Vit: each point in Vit will give you 3 life and 1.5 stamina
    Skills:



    The skills you should max are in the following order:
    Light Sentry
    Shock Web
    Death Sentry
    Charged Sentry
    and put the rest into Firebomb, becuase it increases the number of webs thrown on Shock Web.
    these are the skills that only need one point in them:
    Fade ( very good resistance )
    Shadow Master
    Mind Blast

    Items:

    That picture shows all of the items you are going to use
    Helm: Shako p topazed gives 74 Extra mf. has 2 to skills and life and mana mods. there is really no other helm to get shakos are cheap most people will give one away for free.
    Wep: Hoto, Why? it has 3 to all skills 30-40 resistance and Faster Cast Rate (wich you need a lot to tele faster). why not claws you might ask? well basicly claws are for meele. they require a lot of dex and strenth for good ones and they cant match up the stats on a Hoto.
    Shield: Spirit shield cast res and skill.. another option can be Splendor but please get spirit even if it is 25 cast
    Armor: Enigma without this armor you wont be able to do runs fast enough
    Gloves: mages/chancies 20% fcr and mana regen/40 mf gloves
    Rings: nags good mf rings you could also use something like Soj, Bk or some good cast+strenth+res ring.
    Belt: Arach cast you must have this
    Boots: War Trav mfing boots get em
    on switch: cta + Spirit ( if you can offord it )
    Merc:
    your merc should be a act2 combat merc ( prayer ) very good to heal you and himself

    Armor:Fort since it has a lot of resistance will add a lot of damage to your merc. another good option is Eth Shaftop.
    Wep:Infinity. if you cannot offord this you could also use Insight.. but infinity is a must if your going to do all the bosses ive listed
    Helm:Andys
    Inventory:
    In your inventory you should have Torch and Gheeds.. if you feel your damage is low ( i cant see why you would think that because everything goes down in less then 5 seconds) you can adda few trap gcs. you can also have a anni it cant hurt you but i didnt use it and i still tanked..and if you feel your mf sucks you can get 7% mf small charms.
    Skill Scroll:

    This is what you should have under skill scroll
    Stratagies:
    Vs: Countess:This is very simple she is weak. just tele in her little room set a traps and mind blast.. chances are you will kill her 1 hit with traps and mindblast is just to convert her minions and garantee a 100% safe run
    Vs: Andy: pretty easy just as easy as countess. you teleport to 4.. you clear out her minions below her.. and we all know she is in the center of that long hall... so you set 5 traps right in the center ( NOTE you do not go into her screen) the traps will reach her but by the time she comes near you she will be as good as dead.
    see she died even before i could take a picture!

    Vs: Summoner: he is really really weak... all you need to do is just teleport into his little box and do the same stratagy as for countess.. mindblast and you will be ok :)

    Vs: Meph: This can get a little tricky but not at all.. all you need to do is just set traps and tele away then set traps and tele away pretty easy but he will fall in matter of seconds so dont sweat it :) and heal your merc!

    Vs: Nikhlak: this guy is damn tricky! but once you find him just stay as far away from him as you can so lay down traps and get the hell out! another stratagy is put 1 death trap so it does corpse explosion( thx to blood for telling me )

    Vs: Elditch: Step1: tele Step2: Lay Trap Step3: collect drops.. yeah its that easy there is no challange there ok.

    Vs: Shenk: Shenk=Edlitch they are so easy just tele in his range and lay down traps trust me you will NOT die

    Thats about it! i hope you enjoyed this guide it took me a good 2 hours putting it together :) some things you should know is this sin doesnt have a CTA i couldnt figure it out on editor so i quit. but with a cta your health will be 2.3k+ i know it!.

    TOTAL MF WITH ALL PERF GEAR Including Chancies:264 mf with 40 gheeds this does not include enigma ( wil add 70-90 mf ) or small mf charms. Note: i did not have a cta and my health was nearly 2k. for health and mana just click on one of my boss picture it will show right above the red and blue circles. your damage will be around 7k but if you use anni and trap gcs it will be higher.

    hammerdin has good things and bad things.. example hamers need to get near enemy to kill them.. its harder to aim.. trap sin hell just throw down traps and mindblast you are untouched you stack shitload of res.. its easy and fun mf for newer players

    You forgot to say about how much MF you should have.

    ohh you want me to calculate how much mf i would have? well i can do that but i will NOT ADD ENIGMAS MF for one reason it varies with lvl :)

    Just add about 70 for enigma. Oh, and take more pic of how to set-up the traps for each boss.

    you mean like take pics of were to put the traps for each boss? but i did in the pics it shows were to post traps or is that unclear?

    Well I don't think that kind of mf is good to find uniques. The good thing with assa is that she can't die so easy. But the bad thing is that she doesn't have enough mf like sorc or pala.

    no thats a good amount... if ur lvl 90 ull have ike 355 mf.. thats not bad first of all hammerdin cant get more mf if not equal... same gear man so dont say hammerdin can get more... plus you dont want a lot of mf. if u start to replace items you will be weak and die..now if you need more mf get 7 mf small charms fill inv half way up and you will have like 500 mf or so but.. i wouldnt have that much sorta ghey...
    but yeah this sin is a tank for pvm she will never die on any boss.. and yes i rather use a trapper to mf then a hammerdin

    Pretty nice guide; maybe I'll even try one of these next season (if it ever comes) to go along with the other MF chars I'll be making (blizz, orb, maybe even barb) because up to this point I really havn't been diverse in the chars I've made (mostly sorc) - sad to say but if I actually was able to make this with this gear it'd be the first nigma I'd have (being a legit player who doesn't really trade at all). One thing you may want to also state is stat disbursment. I'd assume it would be the same as most (enough str/dex for gear, all in vita, none in nrg). Also, you can mention that if people keep on dying in Nithalak they can switch out a nagel for a Nature's Peace and just hope merc doesn't kill too many guys for Nih to pop while you're waiting for his life to go down.

    wow thank you man! but see Infinity has like a mod i think monsters stay in peace or w/e but trust me if you just set trap and tele away you will be safe :)
    p.s Jedi you know you want to do it.....you know you just want to do it

    Infinity doesn't have that mod, but I'll take your word that you don't need it. All I'll say to other players is make sure you don't tele too far away if Nih is lite immune or else he won't pick up your merc's conviction. ~jederz

    P.S.S about ur comment lite immune all that .. you can just tele into his face once his minnions are dead and one hit ez pk yeah you should take my word for it becuase i did about 20 runs non stop nikhlak and havent lost merc even shadow didnt die so dont worry about using natures peace ring

    change the colour of some of the text since most people use fusion skin'
    like jedi said u didnt mention the stats. I think u should calculate how much base str/dex will be needed for the gear u mentionned with and without torch
    and i like that u used pics to show stuff, although, I for one, hate to click on thumbnails
    -.- and i think we all have good enough connections to view it if u put a direct image in the thread

    well i think the colors is what makes my guide different then most.. everyones guides are all plain and normal text mines nice and good looking :) and about the pictures ... why change it? i mean all you do is click on it its not hard.. but the colors is my "thing" if you look at my sorc guides they all have same colors so i dont think colors will change :)

    Good job Invisable over all a good guide to mfing with assasin. too bad ill nvr be able to use it since its too rich for me lol. i dont think ill even beable to get the gheeds charms lol. Good Job again

    yes spelling shit happend what can i say but is there like a spell check program that blizzsector has so i can just run it and all the misspelled words would be in red? or underlined something like that..
    and ill change the color i see a lot of people having trouble with purple since they use Fusion skin( very plain and boring ) i suggest you use Surge or the ambience one they are much better..

    the concept of a mf trapper doesnt seem like a good idea to me because traps require IAS and teleing requires FCR. you really should be going for more IAS than hoto+spirit if you want to be able to lay down traps quickly. but then if you do so you wont be able to telly fast enough to mf. so i guess it comes down to your play style. find a balance if you can and if you feel you can get enough of both IAS and FCR, go for it.

    you left anni out of stash...and you probably want to add some trap GCs and some 7 smfcs

    maybe make it more clear what you are maxing...the way you talk about the skills is slightly confusing

    shadow warrior is better than master because it casts what you cast, so if you are throwing down traps it will too and it will double your traps! also warrior takes less skill points, and trappers need all they can get

    also, since you are including your total mf, throw in your damage, approx. health and mana, etc.

    other than that, i like the layout with the pics and stuff...i give the char 4/10 and the guide 7/10

    ok about the cast and such i tele pretty fast i mean fast enough and i cant traps as soon as i soon i think thats pretty good plus for pvm ... all im saying is you will never die.. i didnt include anni for a few reasons its a little hard to come by i wanted to keep it on the downlow.. but yes Life and Mana IS INCLUDED in there... look at pics you will see my life and mana :)

    Don't forget that prices differ on realms. If you can get an Enigma on Europe, you can certainly afford an anni (anni is 3-xx Ists, Enigma is around 9 Ists).

    Also, it would be nice if you actually made a proper assassin guide. I'm not saying that your guide is shit, but it's more like a build, instead of a guide. You just list some gear, explain why you chose that, but you don't say why it would be better than a certain otehr kind of gear. Catch my drift?

    Basically, what I am saying is that I'd much rather see a guide in which you go into more depth, explain why you chose hoto + spirit over 2x claws, why you decided to go for no block, what would be other alternatives if you wanted more damage and less MF. It's a nice guide, but very primitive. For the gear the gear that you have listed for MF, I guess that I'd give you 10/10, because I cannot think of better MF gear off the top of my head, but for the "guide" aspect, I'll give you 4/10 because it's not very varied and doesn't really explain a lot.
