Alternative Guide/Advice needed for poor Trapsin

Hi all,

as the title says, Im after some much needed advice for my Trapsin. Ive found loads of good guides for godly equipped Assas but none for poor noobs like me that I can find (apologies if there are any)

The story for Solclaw so far is:

Lvl 20
going down the usual LS route with syns, SM (eventually) for company and Fade with a touch of BoS
want to eventually Solo hell (if poss)

Ive got some crap/nearly good stuff but woulld like advice on alternative stuff.

a treatchery armor,
shako,
tgods,
ravenfrost + dwarf,
a rare ammy or a magic ammy with skills,
some treks,
bloodfists.

Thanks for that! I'll see whether I can start trading for that stuff. Ive already got 1 Bartuc (Im gonna use a shield as I cant see me being able to tele anytime soon, so I reckon I need the enhanced defence) and a +2 traps amu so thats a start I suppose

Well.. Treatchery is a assn armor, its from the latest 1.11 patch. heres the stats:

5% Chance To Cast Level 15 Fade When Struck
25% Chance To Cast level 15 Venom On Striking
+2 To Assassin Skills
+45% Increased Attack Speed
+20% Faster Hit Recovery
Cold Resist +30%
50% Extra Gold From Monsters

Rune Combo: Shael + Thul + Lem
Its a nice armor. but if u want a good assn thats not hard to pay for.
Find a +3 or +2 Assn Skills circlet with atleast res or fcr, socket it and put a shael in it.. and for claws.. do 2x +3 Traps claws, Shaeled or if u can afford them: 5/5 Lit dies.

technically a good helm for Assns.. that u can find would be:

Type: Circlet
Rare: Yes
Stats:
+2-3 Assn Skills
20-30%Fcr
20-30+Res
Socketed: 3 or 2 Sockets
Lit Die it. Or Shael it!

Type: Circlet
Rare: No
Magical: Yes
Stats:
+3 Trap Skills
20-30%Fcr
OR
20-30+Res
Socketed: 3 sockets.
Shael It! For Faster Hit recovery

You can find either of these circlets, by simply going to cow or baal runs.. pick up and blue circlet you see. id it and hope its a +3 Trap one. i used to use 1 of these until i got banned.

Others choose a Griffons Eye, or even a Shako With a good rune in it.
Use ur imagineation!

I havent got those runes (oh, might have Shael I think) so Ill trade for them as well (unless im lucky enough to find someone with a treatchery thats willing to trade, fat chance lol)

Well, With that equip ur talking about. at the top, i dought it. it may be able to kill alot of things it probally wont stand a chance against a boss but u could try!

[offtopic]When i first made a trapsin it was horrible, then after awhile of soloing the Den of Evil, i forked a good old 5 Paly combat's and like 7 Necro bone gc's. [/Sorry]

So with ur assn, do den runs.. you never know until you try! Wish u luck on ur assn!!

Don't use fcr circ's you need ias to cast traps the faster your ias the faster it is to toss out traps try to get a rare circ that gives

res str any other valuble mods get one that has sockets and also has +2 or 3 to assassin skills

ok splatter, all good stuff thanks to everyone for their help, unfort my broadband @ home has just gone kaput , so itching to try out this stuff (den runs etc) on my little Assa when its fixed...

Just remembered that ive got a Giant Conch (240+ def) with +1 Assa skills and other mods, should do for starters till I find something better

Ive also got a +2 traps Amu, natalyas boots and a bartuc claw, so something to equip her with when she gets higher level, shes basically a meleesin (and owning nml @ the mo) till her traps get good enough to be worth using

I highly doubt you used to use one of these until you got banned unless it was in 1.09. You can no longer get 3 sockets on A) +skills circlet/tiara/coronet or B) a rare.

Jeweler's is the prefix, and so are the +skills affixes. Additionally, rares must spawn 2os in order to get the 2os, otherwise, you will Larzuk it and get 1. In order to get +2 or +3 assn / 20FCR or 30FRW or w/e other suffix you like and get 2os, you must Larzuk the blue helm and pray for 2os.

Additionally, if you are US_East LTJ, let me know, I can toss some stuff at ya.

And you would use FCR to tele faster with enigma, that's why Trapsins use FCR. You use IAS for faster trap laying, as splatter said. You want to look for +2Assn/20FCR/30FRW/Str/Dex/Res/life/2os helm (some of those mods).

crikey! thats a lot of info my little brain...lol

Unfort Im in Euro non-ladd soft (I die FAR to many times ) db_jynx, so although your help is gratefully accepted I cant take it up!

Ive never EVER seen a blue helm, or any item for that matter, are they like stupidly rare or what?

Might want to invest some points into Death sentry for PVM
all my pvm sins have Death Sentry cause it owns out the ass especially if you cant afford infinity

fcr affects the speed of laying the traps. ias affects the attacking speed of the trap(minion).

also, don't do den runs lol. atleast try pindle or pit runs(easy and much better than den lol)

Infinity (ber+mal+ber+ist)
has level 12 conviction i think. which removes the resistances of the monsters.

but since its kind of expensive is why i suggest Death Sentry.
death sentry has lighting dmg and also corpse explosion, which makes it pretty badass.

also, don't do den runs lol. atleast try pindle or pit runs(easy and much better than den lol)

also ya i dont suggest doing Den runs thats just a total waste. id go with Pit,eldritch,pindle.

Some monsters in the pit will be lighting immune which is where your death sentry could come in handy.
