cause that was the easiest dupe ever and blizz is smarter than that
it wouldnt be any fun.. once some newb got a hold of a lem for example he would dupe it like 200 times.. get a jah dupe more and pow in one day you have 100+ hrs
still, its funny that they didnt make it safe enough when they started to prevent that. it was fun doing it all day long.
My ideas of good ol days are 1.09 before enigma ruined d2. the hacked items good community and melee was alive and hot.
lets not forget about d2hackit ^_^ that was the greatest hack ever.
lol 09 was like yesterday and imo were the dark days of the game. the hex's got old really quick....it was fun at first but man cmon! a hacked item as currency? haha. i liked it before that, long before that
Piercing guided was the king. ^.^
09 was amazing, they should of kept it the same and deleted all the hex's // newiths // wizgloves // all the other hacks lol
Nei, i'll take 1.11 over 1.09 any day.
1.09 = newb PvM days imo. Don't try to dispute the fact that there is even a little balance in the game now, as opposed to none having existed beforehand.
Yeah you know when a Poison Nova Necro could 1shot every cow in a 8player game, something is very wrong.
But come on, Iths were fun atleast :P
;_; oh the memories..Piercing guided was the king. ^.^
1.09 was the time where melee duels had a meaning, and stupid casters would never be used for anything other than mf and rush (actually, i rushed with my barb)
09 was the best on east, on west it was too insane with the hexes.
curse u rust storm!!
09 was alot more balanced than now, back then all u needed was a character doing physical dmg with good gear and u could pvp with any other char! ffs, my hybrid zon could jab pure zealers to death (with a lvl 1 jab).. and my tiger strike assassin could take on anything (well, she was extremely hacked and did 40k at third charge, but who wasnt)
It was like a private realm ran by blizzard, and all most players did was pvp or try to get to 99, everyone was careless and stress free.
not to mention people used to say "GD" and had alot more manners in pubs than they do now.
if u didnt like 09, u either sucked back then, or u didnt play it long enough.
Could be, but I was already playing Diablo while you were sucking on your thumb in your cosy little cradle.
Obviously we have different perceptions when it comes to fun in Diablo. When I play, I log on, whisp a good mate of mine, and we do some private 1v1 GM duels. I don't log on to "OMG PWN NUBS WITH MY H4CKED ITANZ!!!1!1!1". I duel in order to get a nice experience out of it, whether I win or not. That's the reason for why I never duel FoHs with my Druid. What's the point? There is no excitement in it. You know that you will win no matter what. Zealers were underpowered back then, and they also are right now. No fun in dueling them. I could take on a whole bunch of Zealers 1v7 and would emerge victorious. Suggestion, go and kill pwn Fallen, there's more tension in that.
Any barb with Gaze + Shaftstop + Storm + Grandfather would have waltzed over you, as DR% had no cap. But oh well, it was fun while you could own underpowerd classes, wasn't it?
Stress free? Don't tell me you find Diablo stressful. I suggest that you find another passtime. Also, Baaling > Cowing imo.
In Europe, they still do.
Long enough, and even before that.
