If Tears Built A Stairway
If love could make a ladder
And mourning string a rope
I’d climb it up above the clouds
Just to give you hope.
If pain could be a parachute
To keep me from the fall
I’d float all day beneath the sun
Just to hear your sweet voice call.
If family could make a life raft
A dinghy or a boat
I’d row all day against the current
To hear words come from your throat.
If hearts could link a chain
That never came to end
I’d drag it by the foot forever
To see your face around the bend.
If faith could move a mountain
And hope could chop a tree
I’d cut down forests and move the Rockies
If I could have you here with me.
If peace could ford a river
And joy could map the seas
I’d travel the world countless times over
To fall before you on my knees.
If smiles could shift the clouds
And laughter could stop the rain
I’d smile and laugh till it hurt my mouth
If I could again make myself sane.
If tears could build a stairway
And cries could shape a lane
I’d follow that road to the end of time
Where we’d all be happy again.

He did a splended job.I leave the honor to him to reveal who is the author...If not I will keep that to myself.
