A realm game vs a non realm game?

Besides those special "ladder only items" is there more or different items when playing a realm game vs a non-realm. I figured that if you only use the CD you bought you could only get whats on that cd or patches from blizzard. In a realm game they could slip stuff in. Is this correct? or is it those rare ladder only items thats all they added. When i play realm games i tend to find totally different stuff then my reg. characters then on my own machine. What are the benefits of playing realms besides trading?

I'm assuming "Non-Realm" means Single Player? If you mean single player, it's just like ladder.

yes sp is ladder, in a way they had to make it ladder cause if it wasnt people would just find a way around that and it would **** off the people who dont have internet.

I probally didnt word it right. I Just want to know if the items (not all but some) are different in non-internet games compared to internet games. The items in non-net games would be limited to the database on your cd and patches. The items in internet games could be slipstreamed in by blizzard to there servers. Besides the rare "ladderonly" items are there others?
