    Welcome all to the BM/GM/Hybrid Javazon guide YAY!!!

    Charged Strike allows you to add Charged Bolt to your Spear attack.

    Basicly Charged strike is very lethal to any char. Upon release there are 7 bolts and damage that can reach up to 12k each!!!
    Pros:Extremely Lethal Damage/ Good Tank if built right/ Good Overall Char
    Cons: Lacks range (Unless a hybrid)/ Light Damage can be easily absorbed

    ~~Stats~~
    Starting Stats:
    Strength: 20
    Dexterity: 25
    Vitality:20
    Energy:15

    How you should invest:
    Strength: Dont think you need any just keep enigma light
    Dexterity: Max Block
    Vitality:Rest
    Energy:Zero

    ~~~Gear~~~
    Helm:
    Works with: GM/Hybrid
    Griffons Diadem- BEST helm for a javazon hands down without this delete your javazon you just wasted your time. Massive damage boost definitely helps in any situation.
    Armor:
    Works with:BM/GM/Hybrid
    Enigma - You'll need the strength boost for Stormshield or JMOD also +2 skill and +%life is extremely vital oh yea no fort cause you want light damage not physical stab damage unless you really want to -_-
    Alternatives:
    Chains of Honor- +2 Skill and Resist is all you want here but if you can get this why not get an enigma
    Weapon:
    Works with:GM
    Magical Javelins- Aim for +skills and ias cause those are the ones you should definitely use. Try more of a +6 Jav skill and 40 ias and you got yourself a good piece of equipment.
    Works with:GM/Hybrid
    EUpped Titans- Works well in GM duels and hybrid. Replenish quantity to throw while you run. If you don’t like to run and throw then stick with tstrokes I guess. Other then that Titans is a classic and nice to have around.
    Faith GMB/MB- Which ever you prefer since it is a faith necessary for hybrids since you are a hybrid. The downside is no CTA. Unless you prebuff which is a waste of time.
    Shields:
    Works With: GM
    Jewelers Monarch of Deflecting (20/-20 Light Die Facet)- OMG If you can get one of these then your in business. The 20/-20 can make a big difference when you wanna kill chars like BvCs fast :)
    Works With: GM/Hybrid
    Stormshield- Have it with max block and either socket it with 5/-5 ‘Um’ or whatever helps you. But we want it mostly to stop those annoying BvCs
    Works With: Hybrid
    Whistans- Easily achieved max blocks is perfect for those situations when you run with Etitans to get away from danger.
    Weapons on switch:
    Works With:BM/GM
    Call To Arm- Aim for a +5 or +6 as it will help your life alot.
    Spirit/Lidless/Splendor-Back your Cta up.
    Gloves:
    Works With:BM/GM/Hybrid
    Rare Gloves- +3 Java Skill with Ias. Useful in every situation since we want the +skill to boost our charged strike damage. If not get +2 Java or some passive gloves
    Belt:
    Works With: BM/GM/Hybrid
    Verdungos- Almost a must since DR can help you a lot but not just dr theres also vitality
    Alternatives:
    Thundergods- The belts got good damage if you feel that you can survive without verdungos which I don’t suggest you to think. Anyways a good piece of equipment for pure damage or for absorb
    Boots:
    Works With:BM/GM/Hybrid
    Eth Sandstorm Treks- A pair of these can come handy with the +vit and +str. Its one of the all round best boots.
    Alternatives:
    Respective realms duped boots if you have one. Or Tri-Res Boots
    Amulet:
    Works With:BM/GM/Hybrid
    Maras Kaleidoscope- Has everything you need. Stats,Skill,resist what more do you want?
    Alternatives:
    Rare/Crafted Amulet - Find ones with +skill and useful stats
    Cats Eye- Ias/Frw/Dex its all good if you want to sacrifice dmg for more of those
    Ring 1:
    Works With:BM/GM/Hybrid
    Bul-Kathos- The +skill and +%life is too valuable to let it go to waste. BM/GM/Hybrid you need life to survive even that +1 life will kind of make a difference
    Stone of Jordan- +skill ehhh go for a bul-kathos but if you need mana go for it no ones stopping you
    Ring 2:
    Works With:BM/GM/Hybrid
    Stone of Jordan – Yuck go for Bul-Kathos
    Works With:Hybrid
    Ravenfrost- Dex is perfect for a hybrid
    Charms:
    Amazon Torch- Try to get one with high +stats
    Annilihus- Same as Torch
    9x Java Skillers with Life
    Fill the rest of your inventory with +life and resist small charms.
    Stash
    Bul-Kathos (prebuff)
    Thunderstrokes
    2x Dwarf Star - Fire Absorb (if you have to)
    2x Wisp Projector - Light Absorb (if you have to)
    Raven Frost - Cold Absorb (if you have to)
    4x Ptopaz Monarch (if you have to absorb Fohers)
    Treachery- FADE!!!!
    1 - Critical Strike
    Put 1 in each (Dodge Avoid Evade) (Or till 45-50%)
    ~~~Duels~~~

    Important Dueling Strategies that every zon must learn:
    Yes javazons do require skill to use. But its not as hard or easy as you think. Takes some practicing but when you manage to perfect it you'll be unstoppable unless someone absorbs you.
    Namelocking: An easy technique to master. This just means holding the cursor over the opponents head and automaticly locking on the opponents location.

    Chainlocking: An Absolute must if you love to tele+stab. Its basicly namelocking but much more constant. You start by namelocking your opponent with the shift button down. When you have their name locked hold it down and move your cursor to your javazons foot. When it is there tele and you will be almost automatically stabbing your opponent. If he runs away again simply tap your right click and you'll be on them again.

    Amazons:
    Bowzons (Note: Hybrids and BM are somewhat irrelevant)
    Difficulty: ***
    Build You Should Use:GM
    BM Tactics- Put 1 point into slow missile, grab max block, and chainlock stab her.
    GM Tactics- Best solution to this is to tele+stab. If your an expert at the art of jav+stab or like tele+smite then you should go for chainlocking. Its the best possible solution as it will auto hit her. She should not be so hard if you maintain max block.

    Javazons
    Difficulty: **
    Build You Should Use:BM/GM/Hybrid
    BM Tactics- 4x Ptopaz Monarch, Wisp Projector, Thundergods is all you need to help. If he wears the same it'll be based on physical dmg and DR.
    GM Tactics- Get a good mannered amount of resist and try to be the first to hit her. Throw some Lightning Fury and run if you seem to be having trouble. Oh and don’t forget to dodge her furys.
    Hybrid Tactics- She’ll chase you around fire your arrows or throw some javelins if you want. But fire more arrows run and rinse repeat. Might take a while since most have max block. Get her down to maybe 1/2 or 3/4 life,turn around, and stab her to death.

    Farcast Javazons
    Difficulty:*
    Build You Should Use: BM
    Sorb and chainlock stab.

    Paladins:
    FoHers
    Difficulty: ** or ****
    Build You Should Use: BM/GM
    BM Tactics- Woot ‘Treachery’,4x Ptopaz Monarch, Wisp Projector, Thundergods. Chainlock stab.
    GM Tactics- Find a way to slow him down and chainlock stab. Other then that get some good resist throw a couple of furys.

    Hammerdins
    Difficulty: ** or *****
    Build You Should Use: GM/Hybrid
    GM Tactics- Varies depending on who your dueling. Against sitting spammers tele blow them not on top cause you'll die and stab them. Against desynchers, grab as many frw gear/charms as you can get and try to desynch. On top of that add a few furys and if he manages to slip close by and mess up stab him.
    Hybrid- Shoot a lot of arrows around and mess with his rhythm. Run turn around shoot all you have to do. If he gets too close stab him with your CS or throw a couple of furys.

    Smiters
    Difficulty: *** 1/2
    Build You Should Use: BM/GM/Hybrid
    GM Tactics- Sometimes hard since charge can be really annoying. Throw some furys run rinse and when he’s low on life stop turn and stab. Important concept here is DR as it'll help alot. Make use of terrain its also an important factor such as swamp pits
    Hybrid- Shoot arrows to make him come to you and use GM tactics except your firing arrows instead of furys.

    Zealer
    Difficulty: **
    Build You Should Use: GM
    Since most zealers are GM you should be fair too and give him a chance. Use GM gear and go head to head you should come out as a winner in 2-3 stabs unless you just stand there and let him hit you….

    FoH/Smiter (v/t or t/v)
    Difficulty: *****
    Build You Should Use: BM/GM/Hybrid
    Yea things get interesting here if you BM kill him quick or just keep stabbing him at a distance. For GM you don’t really stand a chance since he’s 50/50 Range Melee so he got you beat with the range unless you can somehow catch him and stab him to death. For hybrid stay as far as possible send some arrows toward him and hope he charges into a direct cs stab.

    Auradin
    Difficulty: *
    Build You Should Use: BM
    Absorb + chainlock

    Necromancers:
    Summon Necs
    Difficulty: **
    Build You Should Use: GM
    Throw a couple of furys and slim his pack down when you feel like you can take him stop and stab. Key here is to run. Grab some frw to desynch.

    Bone Necs
    Difficulty: ***
    Build You Should Use: BM/GM/Hybrid
    BM Tactics- Put 1 point into Slow Missile but watch out bone necs are literally the king of bm.
    GM Tactics- *WARNING: DECRIPIFY IS LETHAL* yea never get that thing stuck on you. Decrip+golem slap is bricks in your shoes and easy pickings for you. Throw a fury and run around throw some more and get a good stab at him. Easiest method is to chainlock in my opinion though since necs tend to have low resist but the problem is catching him.
    Hybrid- Shoot some arrows run shoot some more and find a good open spot that he’s vulnerable to and stab him. Desynch if possible

    Poison Necs (Bramble/Enigma)
    Difficulty: **
    Build You Should Use: BM/GM/Hybrid
    Use Bone Nec tactics. Just need to watch out for poison nova it can be really nasty combined with Lower Resist. Keep a decent amount of psn resist.

    Barbarians:
    Warcry Barb
    Difficulty: **
    Build You Should Use: GM
    Since they can’t really bm except with absorb gear which turns their damage to shit its not worth bming. Just throw a couple of furys run around frolick or something and walk up to him and stab him simple I give him 2 stars for the stun

    BvC
    Difficulty: *** or *****
    Build You Should Use: GM
    GM Tactics- Leap+Tele+WW is EXTREMELY annoying. Try not to let it put you down. Hold shift and left click towards him when he’s ww towards you. If he’s wwing away tele in front of him hold shift and stab him. If you have max block and high dmg you'll actually never lose to a bvc. Only possible losing situation is if the barb wears doomz. If he wears doomz its basicly over for you. In a situation like that use manual farcast (not gonna teach you how) and end that barb.

    Druids:
    Wind Druid
    Difficulty: *****
    Build You Should Use: BM/GM/Hybrid
    Very challenging duel since he can put you in dodge lock immediately if he has you namelocked. Your best bet here is to throw 3-4 furys and kill his pets. Make sure you quickly have him namelocked and tele+stab him to death. (Note: NEVER i repeat NEVER slow missile a wind druid if you wanna know why go try it yourself let him cast a tornado at you x_x)

    Shapeshift Druid
    Difficulty: * - ***
    Build You Should Use: GM
    Directions: Duel like a zealer but watch out for rabies runner. Tele+stab if you have to.

    Sorceress:
    Fireball Sorc
    Difficulty: *****
    Build You Should Use: BM/GM/Hybrid
    BM Tactics- Absorb + 1 point into Slow Missile
    GM Tactics- Basicly what you have to do here is keep running. When shes in namelock range lock on and tele+stab her to death. 1 hit should do the job.
    Hybrid- Spray your arrows at her. If she gets too close switch to titans and flee to a far spot hoping you desynch and repeat. If she tele's on top of you stab her with charged strike.

    Lightning Sorc
    Difficulty: ****
    Build You Should Use: Hybrid/BM
    BM Tactics- Absorb + 1 Point into Slow Missile
    GM Tactics- Basicly what you have to do here is keep running. When shes in namelock range lock on and tele+stab her to death. 1 hit should do the job.
    Hybrid- Spray your arrows at her. If she gets too close switch to titans and flee to a far spot hoping you desynch and repeat. If she tele's on top of you stab her with charged strike.

    Blizz Sorc
    Difficulty: **
    Build You Should Use: Hybrid/BM
    BM Tactics- Absorb
    GM Tactics- Basicly what you have to do here is keep running. When shes in namelock range lock on and tele+stab her to death. 1 hit should do the job.
    Hybrid- Spray your arrows at her. If she gets too close switch to titans and flee to a far spot hoping you desynch and repeat. If she tele's on top of you stab her with charged strike.

    Orb Sorc
    Difficulty: ****
    Build You Should Use: Hybrid/BM
    BM Tactics- Absorb
    GM Tactics- Basicly what you have to do here is keep running. When shes in namelock range lock on and tele+stab her to death. 1 hit should do the job.
    Hybrid- Spray your arrows at her. If she gets too close switch to titans and flee to a far spot hoping you desynch and repeat. If she tele's on top of you stab her with charged strike.

    Assasins:
    Kicker
    Difficulty: *
    Build You Should Use: GM
    Same as zealer just go head to head and take it out on each other not that hard for you.

    Whirlwind Assasin
    Difficulty: *
    Build You Should Use: GM/Hybrid
    GM Tactics- Noob WW assassin go straight up to you without fade and think they can go head to head. Hold shift+left click and noob assassin go down. Against Pros who constantly tele+ww try to dodge her since attack has a lot of poison. When shes ww away tele in front of her and shift+left click

    Trapper (Note: When caught in mb lock walk out not tele)
    Difficulty: ***
    Build You Should Use: BM/GM/Hybrid
    BM Tactics- ‘Treachery’,4x Ptopaz Monarch, Wisp Projector, Thundergods and chainlock her.
    GM Tactics- I suggest tele+stab. Strap on a decent amount of resist not too much and tele+stab her. Avoiding traps and mind blast of course
    Hybrid- Shoot her ,shoot her, run, run, shoot her…

    Hybrid Sin
    Difficulty: *****
    Build You Should Use: BM/GM
    BM Tactics- Mix your gear from DR and Absorb. Chainlock stab her.
    GM Tactics- Ehhh dodge the lightning and shift+stab and pray she’ll die before OW, Poison, +mindblast kicks in.

    Conclusion:
    Thanks for reading and please any problems or anything that needs to be fixed would be greatly appreciated. My strategy for dueling is my own opinion so if you disagree thats fine but thats how i would have dueled them. Anyways once again thanks for reading.

    Looks fine overall, but I'm not happy about some parts:
    1) Your "BM" setup is 100% GM. You don't have any BM gear in there.
    2) A little bit too much of a Glass Cannon, especially with no points in avoid skills. All Javazons should have those imo.
    3) You've omitted the best Javelins. Cannot remember the name, but they are magical Javelins +6 Java and Spear skills 40%IAS. Godleh, and very expensive.
    4) Please don't mention Farcast in your build. Brings the entire appearance and credibility down.

    edit: Moved and stickied.

    I don't think you can really BM with an ama (except for absorbing).

    Espada do not make me luagh... lol

    It needs alot of fixing.... "ALOT"
    Pretty much if you did a FC vs FC im pretty sure that the other person would rip you apart...

    But here is some help..
    Gloves-You want 2 all skills for the dodge skills and such. You want to hit 60% on each.. Frater knows this..

    Armor-Why do you use enigma....The str bonus i know... You really don't need it... Cuz really no matter what you will be a glasscannon..
    Use a CoH cuz you really will need it and then you can instead of using the resist scs use life/fhr and you get nice mods from the CoH

    Weapon-If you want lots of damage... USE ETH tStroke!!!! Has EXTREAMLY BETTER SKILLS and does the +/- for the light dmgs. Ladder item so this will be rare and very expensive.

    With the sheild, just stick with a SS, cuz you want the MAX BLOCK, don't use the jewlers sheild...Remember your melee, not a Caster..

    And it takes a normal 2-4 hits to kill your person depending on what your killing.

    Belt-tGodz, Strait up... 100% Don't need that DR cuz your FC!!!!

    Rings-Stick with a BK at all times, the second is up to you, normal use is for a SoJ, Unless your against them casters...

    I don't think a con is Range.... Its called FC after all...

    Of corse if you use FC, witch almost all the Melee Javazons do... Thats why they are really hard to kill..
    Of corse alot of people say BM!!! BM!!!!!!!! But... Just duel... Team duel if you must..

    actually your post made me laugh farcast is that the best backup you can bring only noobs who cant duel use farcast.
    1.this is not a farcast guide.
    2.guess what enigma is for gm duel where if your actually good unlike farcasting you can tele stab
    3.dont even argue with me about javelin. +6 jav with ias and if possible replenish GG... tstrokes is nothing compared to that.
    4.i betchu never even seen the difference in damage when with JMOD and SS huh? you'll kill so fast with JMOD whats the need to block and i never said SS was useless i said keep it in stash.
    5.If your good with a javazon you shouldnt even need farcast to mop up pubs.
    6.By BM in this build im referring to absorbing and not FARCASTING

    Thank you very much and have a good day

    I was wondering what the breakpoints you want to hit are? And how much FR/W do you like to have for the builds?

  10. #10

    Great guide but,
    It seem's like the IAS is lacking for the build,
    Since we use 6/40 javs and 3/20 gloves that comes to 70%,
    Breakpoints with Matri jav is:
    Matriarchal Javelin & Winged Harpoon (-10 weapon speed)
    0% 5% 10% 15% 25% 40% 80% 100% 170%

    We maybe should reach 100% and suffer some damage,

    So I would suggest to use: 60 ias armor, 60+ all res 100life magic~
    +3 javelin skill gloves with +xx dex to get easier maxblock with Jmod~
    and 6/40 javelins, then this will reach 100%

    and you could replace the +5/20life res/life scs in the inventory for something more usefull,

    /Xzamp

    I'd prefer 65/70 frw with a javazon/hybrid, so we could replace the 45% in enigma, with 5% frw 1,08 charms instead of the life/res scs,

    And therefor use the 60/60 armor for more ias, res.

    this is formulas of FRW;
    Speed when you walk,
    Effectivewalk speed = basewalkspeed * (1 + skill_frw / 100 + (item frw * 150 / (item_frw +150)] / 100 + armor_speed / 100)

    Where~

    * Basewalkspeed is 4 yards for all characters,
    * Skill_frw is skill based frw minus slow effects,
    * Item_frw is item based frw
    * () indicates rounding down
    * armor_speed is the sum of the speed reducation from armor and shield (an negative number), the reduction is -5 for medium armor's & shields and -10 for heavy armors / shields, so stick with 4sox duskshroud 60/60

    Additionally, if effectivewalkspeed < basewalkspeed / 4, effectivewalkspeed = basewalkspeed / 4, tho there is a minimum cap of 1 yards for effectivewalkspeed,

    Speeds when you run~

    Effectiverunspeed = baserunspeed + basewalkspeed * (skill_frw / 100+ [item_frw * 150 / (item_frw + 150)] / 100 + armor_speed / 100)

    Where baserunspeed is 6 yards for all characters and other terms as above,

    substituting effectivewalkspeed into this formula we get ;

    Effectiverunspeed = effectivewalkspeed + baserunspeed - basewalkspeed,

    By entering the values of baserunspeed and basewalkspeed in the formula we get;

    Effectiverunspeed = effectivewalkspeed + 2 yards additionally if effectiverunspeed < basewalkspeed / 4, effectiverunspeed = basewalkspeed / 4, tho there's a minimum cap of 1 yards for effectiverunspeed too.

    I haven't played Diablo in too long, but I trust that you can write guides and know your thing.
