Alrighty, so, being pretty new to duping, I never had much time to back up all my gear for my smiter without it being begged away. Actually, it was the time I was about to do that when I realized it had been patched.

Rumour has it, there's a private dupe method? Apparently entirely client-side and no lag. Maybe it's a lie, maybe it's the truth, kinda wish I knew.

If there's people out there who can find a flaw in the 360's hypervisor and gain full permission, then there must be people who want to dupe on Diablo II (again).

Point being, lag method's out. We need a new way in, let's brainstorm.

I was thinking, and this probably has been patched, if not thought out entirely from the beginning:

What if we drop connection as soon as we drop an item, I have tried it, but as soon as I attempt that, all my gear becomes 'sticky'.

But, what if we time it out. Drop items during disconnect, before it has time to apply glue to them, open up d2 on another computer and throw that char in another game before you get disconnect?

Or, find a way to regain connection (maybe a short drop?), get same char in game #2 and then re-connect.

I should probably attempt that lol.

So, I'm going to drop said items, engage zA's internet lock, get a friend to attempt game as soon as locked and unlock, see what happens, I'll report.
