if it were legalized, who should have the resources to distribute cannabis? should private companies, or should the government?
personally, i think that the government should, that way they can keep tabs on that and also sell it for less than a private company would

For medical or recreational they would probably be private companies. Doesn't matter if it was priv or gov it would still be expensive due to taxing. Either way it wouldn't matter because people would be able to go to a dealer and get it cheaper or grow it them selves.

I just said that smoking is not allowed in public places(at least in some cities). Smoking in general will be banned for most places soon/eventually.

i think it should be legalized to medical purposes (by that i mean proper medical reasons like if you suffer from MS for example) and if a person is caught with it outside those reasons then they should still be punished, it's not my place to say how though.

How is that different from drinking? I'm much more coherent after smoking a bowl compared to drinking a few beers. Some legal drugs can **** you up(on a directed dosage). If you take a Tylenol PM for a headache or a Zyrtec for allergies you are a dipshit to then.
