    Default Diablo 2 making copies

I've seriously gone through 2-3 copies of Diablo 2 Battle Chest and usually the disc would end up disc broken or in my closet...
I've tried to burn Diablo 2 with CloneDVD and other programs but have either made my disc drive freeze or just pissed me off and not work.
How do you do it correctly?
Or playing without a CD program would help too.
Just one that doesn't **** up my Diablo 2 folder and make it so I have to reinstall...>_<

You should use D2Loader, which allows you to play without the CD incase you lost it. Here is a detailed guide made by wm_hunter for the installation.

If your cds are ruined just go download a new diablo2 .iso off of bit torrent.

No compassion- like having a straight faced orgasm.

Diablo has a copy protection called safedisc ver2 I think. I've never had success burning the disk so I would recommend using a no cd crack from this site. Just follow the d2loader guide and your cd problems will vanish!

I've been using Alcohol 120% both to copy the CDs and also to mount the image as a virtual CD. Both works fine for me. The copy is just for backup purposes of the original just in case.

Even though I use d2loader and run 3 games at once, clonecd was a must when the new patches came out a long long time ago and d2loader wouldnt work for a few weeks.

d2loader is a waste, just use deamon tools to run an ISO of it, no need for loader.
