Get an idea of what you want, do some of the work yourself, and then i'll add my opinion. I hate people who just say, I WANT SOMETHING, BUT YOU CAN DO ALL THE WORK FIGURING OUT THE BEST STUFF! Check sites like Newegg.com - Buy Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more! for parts, CPU motherboard ram harddrive PSU graphics sound case monitor, find out what it is you like and make it work! Our job is to let you know if there is a better deal for an item that you have selected, or tell you what would be better, how they work together. We don't get paid here, if you want someone to tell you how to build the computer, pay them, or just go to Find a Notebook, Desktop, Server, Printer, Software, Service, Monitor or TV at Dell. or HP United States - Computers, Laptops, Servers, Printers & more or IBM United States

You said so much without ever parting your lips.
Actually he didn't say "BUILD ME A COMPUTER." He said
If he knew about which component is the best quality for his budget, he wouldn't of posted.
Uknowndrummer. When choosing your parts in Newegg. Which is the recommended website for your components. Use this website as a guide.
Build Your Own Computer - A Step-By-Step Tutorial
Then if you have any questions like which of the two graphics card model would be a better choice, please ask.

ya, i was about to say myself that dan's comment was a bit harsh...
anyhow, while newegg is good for locating parts, i really recommend shopping around. amazon has many if not better deals than newegg. the same holds true for newegg's competitor's. i recommend using pricegrabber.com for shopping around.
US East L/NL-arowws4 arowws5 uber/organ runs for free. Free items too. Just ask. Must be member of this site.
well like i know about everything else
but mother board and processor wise what would be a good one for what i want?
No problem Drummers. What do you mean everything else? The website contains all the hardware information needed to build a full running computer. But good brands on mobos (Motherboards) are Asus, also personally I think gigabyte is fine. Ecs are considered to be the bad brand. I think because of its unreliability, which is what I have experienced. If you start giving up, you should probably just buy a built one. Unless you are prepared to have patience.
I also recommend this guide.

I just saw him post it lol.

i have a dell dimension series pc. its not the greatest for gaming but its a great computer. ive had it for about 5years now and have never had a problem out of it. but if you would rather customize then go ahead. thought i would throw my 2cents worth
well the reason i also wanna build my own is for recording my own music and making albums
so yea a home desktop wouldnt cut it
You want one of them for below 800? Thats out of question. Recording and making albums... thats going to cost a fortune. Do you know what you need to do that?
