Default Hirelings getting more than 1 ?

Hi, can someone please tell me how I can get more than 1 Hireling in my party in the Single Player game? Perhaps there's a cheat/hack/mod/editor that will let me have several Hirelings in my party at the same time. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Moe61, yeah I haven't seen a mod for Hirelings either.

I play the D2 + Expansion in Single player gme. I was hoping to find a mod that would let me form a party of Hirelings/Mercenaries from the start of the game Act I, or at least keep the mercenary I already hired and hire a new one in act II etc.

Maybe even a mod that would let me hire more then 1 mercenary in act 1, say 2 or three etc from the hireable mercenaries list.

Maybe a mod that would let my main character summon any mercenary in the game or act to add to my single player party so I could cast the summons spell several times to get more mercenaries into my party.

Any information would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

there is a way but its with a hex editor. 0nly prob with it is you cant give the second one gear and he/she is invisible. if you want more help. get a paladin shield that has resist all 14 and 1 jewel in the shield that gives DR 1% to the shield. the get a charm with iron golem charges. cast the golem by using the shield and you'll keep the golem as if he was a hireling. He follows you in and out of games without vanishing so you wont have to recast him. though you cant hack the shield alot or it will mess up game.. i know from experience:

they lose an item each time making the iron golem. on open 1.09 not using a necro and using a paladin shield with 1%dr to make the golem will make the golem under hireling format. you cant put stuff on him but he will follow you in and out of games like a hireling. iron golems made with a paladin shield are stronger cause they recieve the resistance bonuses that a paladin is suppose to receive.
