    Default D2speech.mpq ERROR DOWNLOADING

I have had no problem downloading diablo2 ever. i just recently wanted to start playing d2 again so i started to dl it. about 3/4's of the way to the end i get an error when its dling: d2speech.mpq:

d2speech.mpq Error 0x00000001: Incorrect function. (C:\D2\Tools\DiabInst\Source\DiskUndo.cpp:246) Installation aborted.

I tried dlin on different computer and it worked. i have 2 copys of every cd and none of them work. i have read up on a thousand other forums and cant find help.

I dl'ed d2 on my other pc and uploaded the d2speech.mpq file onto filefront and then went to my personal pc and got it off filefront. I pre-made the Diablo II file and put the d2speech.mpq file in there. (i heard this would solve the problem.) All it does is nothing.... it ignores the file and trys to re-dl it.

I HAVE TRIED TO MUCH.... I NEED SOMEONE THAT KNOWS HOW TO ACTUALLY FIX THIS TO HELP ME. ITS POSSIBLE TO FIX. ON OTHER FORUMS I SAW PEOPLE GET IT FIXED.

    Hello,

I believed you've e-mailed me this problem under my hotmail account. If this is the case, I believe that you have downloaded a non-working copy of D2.

If you wish, I can send you iso images of the CD's for installing D2. These iso images guaranteed not to fail and they will install exactly like the original copies. Just post here if you need and I'll PM you instructions specifically addressing you issue.

EDIT: Ok, I can't wait until tomorrow for a reply, so I have Pm'ed you a message with a guide. I recommend reinstalling the game using the instructions I've put in the msg. The file in the msg should help you reinstall D2 with no problem at all.

I'm fairly positive it's a problem in Vista.. I'm having the same problem.. Please email me the iso's at [email protected] and pm me the instructions. I really don't think this is the right solution though.. Anything will be better than trying nothing.. Hope to hear back soon. Thanks.
