    Default Internet Problems

Well, I started getting internet problems with SBC (DSL from ATM)

Anyways, being the guy I am, I decided to find out whats wrong, but being the guy I am, I don't know how to fix it. So I logged onto my modem (the type your ip address in your address bar) and ran a connection test.

    Check Connection

Accessing this page automatically runs a number of diagnostic tests on your modem. The results of these tests are displayed below. Clicking on the "Details" button next to each test provides more information regarding the test and its outcome. To rerun these tests, click on the "Check Connection" option in the menu to the left.

    Ethernetpass
    ADSLpass
    ATMfail
    PPPoEpass
    Authenticationpass
    IPpass
    DNSpass
And then when clicking details, this is what it said.

    Details - ATM Check

This test checks the ATM connection.

    Check ATM cell-delineationpass
    Check ATM signalpass
    Perform ATM OAM segment pingfail
Perform ATM OAM end to end pingfail

Can anyone tell me what this means and how to fix it?

I also did an IP ping test.

That's something you'll have to talk to SBC about, most of the values and addresses are specific to area, internet package, and of course provider.

    Siemens

    4100 Speedstream

I was on the phone with an associate for at least 15minutes. Couldn't quick fix the problem, they might send someone over.

Lol. I have speedstream, theres a couple of different models though.

Did he tell you to go to 192.168.0.1 and disconnect and reconnect? Your not using a router are you?

Click sign out in the ip, and then unplug the modem for about 10-20 seconds. Plug it back in, and then sign on.

The service representative wasn't Indian was he? God their accent is so annoying when they're trying to give you instructions.

I was told to do that, check my phone things and some other stuff. No router is in use at the moment. I tried it, but with my shitty ass connection at this house, I could barely play XBL.

Alright a new thing arose. My internet was working fine today, then I tried playing my XBox 360, as soon as I logged onto XBL, my lights on the router started recycling again. Right now, I'm going to try playing through my router (my router usually decreases my connection to barely legal so I don't like to use it, its not my router, its my connection though).

Does anyone know why this is happening?

I just figured with the added information, you may know why. But thanks for all your efforts.
