Currently upgrading my network to Gigabit (1000). 100 just isn't quick enough anymore :/
Has anyone seen a Gigabit Express card for a laptop? Currently searching but haven't seen any yet.

I don't know if express can handle 1000.

Which is old but just found:
Umart Online Store
and
Sunix 10/100/1000Mbps Network Adapter - ExpressCard (75169 | EC34-NET1000) | Techbuy Australia

maybe im not understanding this, but isnt there really no point to gigabit lan b/c the cable company caps the speed ?
take for example 100 Mbps. that is 12.5 MBps.
most companies only let you go at maybe 5 MBps (i think). you would never be able to fully utilize your adapter's speed.
that is unless of course you are directly connecting with the network.

This is not for the internet. I have atm 2 desktop PC's and one laptop. (normally two laptops but one is RIP atm). ATM the network is 100mbit but i'm looking to upgrade the network to gigabit between the pc's. Not the internet. Copying large ammounts of files is quite slow on 100mbit (i.e 600gb)
My main reason is that I have a Dell Small Form Factor with large drives in it setup to backup all the pc's on the network. Which at 100mbit can take a while :/
.
ah. then ya, that would make sense.
