    Post HTML or XML

    i am looking to learn HTML. But i see there is XML also i would like to know if someone could help me out and tell me of the pro's and con's of XML and HTML and how long they would take to learn these in hour wise.

    HTML can be read and used by any browser. XML seems to be for IE only

    eh ok well what about the pros about XML

    so is HTML proably the best to learn right now?

    XML was designed to transport and store data.
    HTML was designed to display data.



    If you want to make a website you have to know HTML either way. It's really easy to learn and it shouldn't take you more than an hour to get the basics down.

    Yes, html is the very basic first steps into making websites.
    I highly recommend learning about CSS styles as well as they are very common, they help with more freedom of design.

    XML is used mostly in websites for dynamic content; news and such which can be set up for RSS-feeds. Not all XML documents are RSS-feeds though.
