Help setting directdraw for mmbot

Im having some trouble setting diablo 2 to use directdraw. I am wondering if my video card even supports it. I have a radeon x850 and everytime I run that vid2test.exe it selects direct3d for me but it always seems to change it back to direct3d. Is there anyway to know if diablo 2 is using directdraw or direct3d other then this utility? Im trying to use mmbot and I guess it needs directdraw.

im not a pro at this or anything but Im running mine in 3d and i dont have any problems. I did have to set it to 16 bit but thats it. My video card doesnt like direct draw and it takes about 5 min. to open d2 if im using it. It works perfect with 3d
