thanks for writing this, but i have small problem perhaps you coud help me with??? when I search for the values of exp in rev engine only one entry comes up (you say 2-4). If I change that one entry then alt+tab to game the value resets to what it previously was. I am using exact value, 4-bytes and 32-bit memory search option. do you have to save + exit the game at all or can you be changing it while the character stand in blood moore???? thx for help and again for posting this. =)

Hey Razz, would you be able to post a detailed breakdown of exactly what you have done to get EXP to work? I feel that if I can get that working I then might be able to catch up to where you are and maybe help you out in return. Thanks.

    Default Exp

Right this is the way I did it:-

    1. Downloaded Rev Engine 6.2

    2. Opened up Diablo 2

    3. Created a new character

    4. Opened up Rev Engine 6.2

    5. Clicked the button in the very top left corner (if you hover over it it says, "Select the program you want to cheat with")

    6. a box appears and scroll down to find, game.exe or diabloII.exe, double click that.

    7. The screen shoul have:
    Scan Type --- Exact value
    Value Type --- 4 Bytes
    Memory Scan Options --- 32-Bit
    From 00400000 To 80000000
    That should be everything.

    8. Go and kill 1 monster, check your Exp... Should be like 95.

    9. Switch to Rev Engine, and type 95 into value box and click first scan - i got like 6782 found so we need to do it again.

    10. Switch back to Diablo, go kill a second monster, check your Exp... Should get like 190.

11.Switch to Rev Eng again and type 190 into value box and this time click 'next scan' and that leaves you with 5 found (on my comp)

    12. Double click all of them and they will all appear in the box down at the bottom of the screen.

    13. Go down to that bottom box and Double click the value of each one and change them all to '99999999'

    14. Switch back to Diablo and go kill your 3rd monster... This should lvl you up to 120 therefore getting all the stat points and skill points from lvling up.

    15. Save and exit diablo

    16. Switch back to Rev Engine and close it down and dont save anything.

    17. Open Go back to your character and check them out at lvl 120 :)

    Hope this helped.

Awesome, thanks for the detailed breakdown, I will try it out again when I get home and will report back with my results. I'll also try the life + crafting thing and let you know how it goes.

Hmm, can only suggest reverting bk to 1.11b and using that.

Go to this in to google 'PlugY 1.12' and choose first option. Scroll down the forum and go to one called 'Guide: Have PlugY 8.0 + 1.11b AND 1.12 for battle.net'

Dont be confuse by the title im only sending you here to get the files needed to down grade from 1.12 to 1.11b.

    Go down to step 1

Download the game.exe labeled 'this archive' and 1.11b patch labeled 'here'

Then put the game.exe in your 'C:/Program Files/Diablo II' this will replace your new 1.12 version and make it think its an older version.

Then run the 1.11b patch and that should be it done

    Then re-try the hacking :)

thanks for the help Razz ya I got it to work with the exact same results as you reported. the reason why I think these values revert is that they are 'calculated' values, for lack of a better word. that is that they are calculated from other more basic values in the game, so are re-calculated each time the character is loaded. so for example if you want more life you have to increase vit, and to get more crafting points you need more gear with crafting points, which is not trivial to change in rev engine. i will let you know if i make any progress on this. thanks for your help.

Any luck yet roger? Would it be possible to edit items with the engine? because i noticed that when i edited values like crafting points, it changed it in game but as soon as i took the item off all the points vanished.

Is that because its giving the item that amount? Or is it simply just recalculating everything from your armour and charms?

Hey Razz thx for the detailed instructions but I'm having the same problem as some other people. When I change the value of my exp to 99999999(I have tried other values also) it switches it on the engine but then when I alt+tab back into d2 the exp goes back to what it was normally. Other times it does change the exp but it changes it to some insanely high number but when I kill a monster I dont lvl. Any ideas? btw Im using 1.11b with plugy.

ManMissiles how many results did you get for your exp in the rev engine? Did you change all the, 4 or 5 values, to 9999999 or just 1 value? Shouldnt be a problem with the version you are running because im running the same.

Also another thought, once changing the values in rev engine did you then go back to diablo and kill another monster?

  17. #17

    Default

I'm only getting 2 values and yes I'm changing both of them. When I change the values on the engine then go back to d2 it doesn't change it on there. So when i alt tab back even the numbers on the engine reverted back to the exp i have in game.

What happens if you kill a monster after editing it in rev engine?

You should be getting more than 2 values. how many times did u search? You should only search a couple of times and then you'll be left with 4-5 values.

  19. #19

    Default

Well I kill one monster then input the exp gained and do a search for that amount. Then alt tab back to d2 and kill another and enter the new exp into the engine. After that I change the values that showed up and changed them. Then went back to d2 and ether A) it doesn't change the exp(still tried killing a monster and I just got normal exp) or B) it changes the exp to some insanely high number and doesn't do anything after I kill a monster.

  20. #20

    Default

When you say you search for the exp 'gained' do you mean from that one kill?

Because you should be searching for the value of your overall exp. then kill another monster, search for overall exp and then changing the values you get from that. and then ofcourse going and killing another monster.
