    Default Service Pack

    i am trying to help a friend replace his hard drive we did so but cannot use service pack 2 it says it needs one and now days i cannot really find one can someone help me plz

    Service Packs:
    Windows Vista SP1
    Windows XP SP3
    Windows XP SP2

    If that is what you are after?

    even i dont understand it, but everyone needs at least service pack 2 on XP, no possible reason to not get it

    sorry about all the confusion i was trying to work on it at the time.

    The "ntlrd is missing" is showing up on the computer when i start it and i been looking about it.

    Someone gave me a hard drive to replace it but i cannot load any service packs on it. And i cannot figure it out. But i have been looking into the ntlrd missing thing and i still cannot do much about it.

    If you could can you help me figure out this problem with the crashed hard drive or the other one to get it working.

    If you have put a different HDD into your computer you will need to instert the windows CD and do a clean install. Then install your Service pack(s).
