Only if you want to piss me off............ He means INTERESTING threads or helpful advice to newcomers.

We all DO talk...but the Forum is a world apart. On MSN anything goes...on this site we all behave differently, because there are rules.
I LOL @ Tap for the 2 face post...any ONE of you denies you have not done that and I will call you a liar to your face.
    Probably BOTH faces,but w/e.
AGAIN...Spit is the man to go to about this decision......so just stop...he made an effort to not ONLY explain, but to soothe ruffled feathers. He ADMITTED he ****ed up...I think continued attempts to castigate are ...at this point...only venting.

Nothing wrong with venting...it has it's place. He allowed you to do so in this thread.

AGAIN....Spit does not do this to be personal or hurt anyone...he is the founder of a Website..he thinks his members and Moderators are pivotal to success.
He is STILL just a man...men **** up...we ALL **** up...he can not change how this was initially handled...what he is TRYING to do is make amends.

He recognized the error and said as much. Please know he was "out to get" absolutely no one.

Pam, (also some others) you don't seem to realize that everyone knows that talk at this point IS pointless. And since actions that are wanted aren't being taken other actions are occuring, via everyone leaving.

That's why everyones still *****ing about getting demoted right? As Fuggle said, people can quit for more than one reason. I haven't seen a post after Spits attacking for what happened. All I can see is all the normal members and some others complaining about them leaving. And then theres you, trying to say something that's been said over and over again with other pieces of lovely information.

I for one think it's funny that instead of taking Tap's insult, you're trying to shift focus on it. Just because people can show their bad side, doesn't mean that they do it all that often.

I stayed out of this thread for many reasons, mainly my ability to start an amazing fight from almost nothing and that I disagree with this, but this compelled me to post.

Tap is right..I CAN be in some instances...everyone else can be too.I never denied this. It was myself that asked Tap be made Mod and then Smod....I see his value.
    It is nothing personal.
I asked in Admin about him when he was first demoted, and he stated THEN if his position was not returned,he would quit the site.

    Obviously he did NOT.
Yes...there is me...if people want to leave because of me,I will not beg you to stay.

Over Froggy I cried on MSN.....I will miss anyone that goes.

Tap did quit after that. From what I gathered he was sick in the hospital or something and was demoted for inactivity which is pretty lame, but I don't know the full story so I won't say anymore. The reason he knew about this because I was talking to him on MSN and mentioned it.

Nobody can handle the leetness of this sig.

He asked me to make a thread explaining his inactivity on the Forum as a whole. I DID that...Spit demoted him due to several months of Mod inactivity, not Forum activity.....

There is a difference in posting and Modding. I LOVE Tap...I think he is great...and him calling me on my flaws does NOT in anyway offend me.

Hey calm down. How did this arguement become about you and Tap. There's no point in this stupid petty fight....

As a fellow ex-mod, I've discussed this over and over with other mods and I think that everyone knows by now that I favour very little moderation and my mod activity has hardly ever been through the roof.
I've stopped posting on many websites because I've found the mods there to be a bunch of fascist faggots that delete posts and close threads. I don't think that either of those actions should ever be done, unless of course the post is of ****ographic nature, or advertising. I think my lengthier "dissertations" on the subject are still somewhere within the depths of the Admin's forum or something, but quite frankly that was a long time ago and I don't even remember what I wrote.
I don't think we need a "Flame wars" section, if there's some flame in the thread, so ****ing what? Who cares? Either way, you can move the posts to another thread, but if you delete them you are showing the original poster as much disrespect as he did with his post, ipso facto hypocracy.

An example: Tap's thread. The man has a right to voice his opinion. If you don't like it, go get ****ed but don't close his thread. Just shows that you are incapable of coexisting with someone who has differentiating opinions on the issue. When I used to mod in the Character Development Section, I didn't delete people's posts because they disagreed with me, I would call them out and have them justify why they thought their opinion would stand. Actually I remember deleting a "guide" once, but it was so shockingly bad that I was doing the internets a favour by getting that piece of shit out of people's sight. Another time, I edited this dude's posts to make them mean something sexual. I guess that I still remember because I didn't feel like I was doing the right thing. But I digress.

As many people have already noted more than once, Diablo II's popularity is dwindling and the other sections never really got going (there are like what... 5 people that play WoW on this site?). The only thing that has kept this forum from dying out over the years is the community. It's been all the active members, all the spammers, all the ****tards that have been banned, all of them altogether, with both positive and negative contributions that have kept this website alive. For this, they deserve at least some credit and respect. You don't close the threads of ex-mods and / or members since like 2004. Not even when they are Mathalamus. People that get butthurt over disserting opinions should NOT be mods.

Oh and by the way, I'm not disagreeing with my demotion. I hardly ever pass by here because I don't have the time or interest, ever since I quit D2 really (Pam, haven't been on MSN because the internet sucks, I hate this country).

Anyway, feel free to delete this post, I think that it would illustrate my point quite well.

Listen I am not jumping on the website or its owner so others that are doing that shouldn't be doing that, I had some good times here, I would probably except a Admin position again if I was asked in the future but that is not my decision.

Just for now I don't feel to be here because I don't see myself as a regular member so that is why I am leaving for now.

xDBD let me use this occasion to say something to you, I have been reading your posts and threads for a while now and just grow some balls stop moaning in every thread about they way people feel and also their convictions about certain things and grow up.

Ok, apparantly I missed a lot in the "meh I really don't feel like clicking that link" vacation I took, of about four days...Four days in Vegas counts as a vacation so this does too damnit. As a former Super Mod and Admin of one of Luke's "spin-off" sites (After the shim abandoned it), I guess I should say something. Also, let's face it, mine is the opinion that REALLY counts. I mean look at my post count, that makes me important. Here we go:

No warning was kind of a back stab though it was not intended to be. Luke is just a decisive dude, when I talked to him about Pant when he was abusing his mod power it took literally about a minute for Pant to be demodded, which was not what I wanted to happen, and bam that was that (Funny that I couldn't stand him before and now he's one of the few people I don't ignore on MSN/AIM).

I think the demodding wasn't a bad idea but I do think the method behind it was. First and foremost, checking the Admin-logs isn't the best way to determine activity. I see Aemath give verbal warnings and have seen Fuggle do the same on several occasions. This was the way I did things and I only ended up clicking the warning button about twice, both times on the same guy in the same thread. I don't believe I ever banned anyone and only closed a handful of threads. Yet it was polled and I was the most popular mod (Yet was also voted king of the Steam Room not long ago...madness)! Why? I didn't do those things that piss people off, I gave everyone the benefit of the doubt because I realized I can only mod posts if people are here and posting. Nobody wants to post on a board with mods that remind of them of the military, "CUT YOUR HAIR BEFORE YOU POST HERE HIPPY." I put that in quotes but it has never been said...it would be awesome thought if it were an actual quote.

There have been several posts in the past criticizing our mod team, either for letting people run wild or being too strict. I thought we had a pretty good balance. I am also crazy though so maybe my opinion isn't the best to follow.

"I'm not a geek, I'm just coolness challenged."

spit should have never promoted that many people in the first place.
of course its easier to look back and say that.

he is the owner of this site after all, and he can do whatever he sees fit.

Wtf is with all the pissing and moaning? Just advertise and recruit more members...and when/if the site gets active again you'll probably get re-instated if it means so much to you.

You can run....but you'll just die tired.
