    Default Xfx, bfg, evga

    Which company you prefer?

I have begun to hate XFX, while BFG and EVGA so far have yet to fail me.
I used to not think much about the manufacturer of my parts till recently I had to send my XFX GTX 260 back to get it replaced.
It has taken them a month already and they still have yet to send one back.

While they all have lifetime warranties, I think XFX needs to get their shit together.

Anyone else have any tech support horror stories?

I'm don't know much about computers but i assume your talking about graphic cards?
If so i have been running 2x Nvidia BFG 7800 ultras in SLI for about 2 or so years now? Never had any problems runs everything perfectly. On;y problems i ever had was one of my cards was faulty when i got it, all i had to do was just replace it with a new one then all good.
So i'd say imo bfg is the way to go.

Well graphics cards, motherboards, power supplies. They make a few things, but mostly video cards.

i have a 6600gt from evga that hasnt quit yet. (ya i know its super old!)
so i guess evga is good. they tend to be pricier though. looking at newegg, they are the top ranked in terms of videocards, and also top dollar

Yeah kinda, BFG and EVGA seam to trade blows in pricing.

XFX great company but slow response time. Their cards are built solid and they have a lifetime warranty that covers over clocking. Really, the same can be said for all 3 companies but in the end I think EVGA cards tend to out perform the others by a small margin.

All steam games? What have you tried, if it just happens on one game you can verify your game files. Otherwise, try updating your driver.
Could try down clocking it and see if it stops, if so your card may be defective. That's really not that new of a card though, so its up to you weather you want to go through the hassle or not.
My first GTX 260 artifacted alot, I RMA'd it and the new one works fine.

Dear GOD I hate this section! Have fun talking about things I am absolutely ignorant of....
