I was getting ready to go to bed, it's currently 1.31 am, and I thought about stopping by to say "Hello". I hadn't been on in ages, and I hadn't seen any of you guys, so I thought it would be nice to see some old faces once more.
How is everyone? Is Pam still Mom of the site? Is it still "cool" to pick on Math? Did they ever invent a decent chip that wouldn't break when you dipped it into your dip of choice?
I'm 18 now, {yay!}. If I am correct, I was around 16 or so when I joined up here on BZS. This is the only forum I've kept coming back to. It's home to me. Even though somethings I didn't agree with totally, I always stood by and watched events. I recently stopped coming, not because of any forum related problems; I've been concerned in real life matters.
I graduated High School, with an 3.2 average. I was surpised, as I never fully tried to do anything during semester hours, instead sleeping through every class. I made some awsome friends, and had some killer times.
Today, one of my best friends left for college. Ben Elmore, a good buddy of mine. It tore me apart to see him go; he was more of an older brother to me than a friend. Yet, I'm glad for him nonetheless.
I joined the NAVY. I took the ASVAB, and scored an 85 on my test. I qualified for AECF, {Advanced Electronic Computer Field}, and am currently working on trying to change my contract to Nuke Tech. I took the Nuke tech and passed, so I'm only waiting to sign the contract itself. The Nuke gives me $20,000 enlistment bonus, and an automatic advance in rank.
I had a girlfriend, broke up with her, had another, got dumped by her, and found a new girl, only to be confused beyond normal conventions. She and I never dated, but we both have feelings for each other. She, though, is currently dating another girl, Micki, her best friend, and {as she says} just wants to be just friends for now. Which is a bummer, but I am happy nonetheless that she is happy. That, and a bi friend is always kickass.
Well, that is what has been happening in a nutshell. Hope to be a more frequent visitor again, haha. This is my 2nd homecoming, afterall. Let's hope I don't drift too far away next time.
