Question [PROBLEM] Cant connect to battle.net - hard issue ; need help !

    Hell'o everyone !

Here's the deal ; impossible to connect to battle.net.

Recently, I felt like I wanted to play to that good old stuff again. The call of Diablo 2 ! But I had the box with CDs, and none KEY CDs ! Lost.
So i've used a keygen (stupidly I admit) that blocked my way.
In order get out of this mess, I've bought a new CD key on D2ok.com, re-installed my games with the brand new CD Keys.

But It wasn't working still !! I tried all the things written on the battlenet's webpage : unable to connect again.

My new CD Keys seem to be valid 'cause to game is installing corresctly and are registered on my Battle.net account.

-> Do they block IP adresses ? How can I know ?

Thanks for help, I'm lost !

    Thanks !

    Thanks !
after you installed d2 did you copy the files from your lod disk to your D2 folder and run D2 without the disk and if you have done that then try running D2 in win xp/admin mode and see if that will let you connect
    thanks

No ! Because I've registered the CD keys on my Bnet account, I don't need a CD anymore !

And I've tried with admin mode, not working !

have you checked and see if your firewall is letting you connect to b.net - not sure what else other then if you have teamviewer where I can log on and see if I can help you that way - to understand you right - did you use the cd disk to install your D2 and using the new cdkeys? or did you installed D2 all from a file that you downloaded from b.net?
    thanks

I'll try for tell you step by step what happened.

    1) Oh ! That good old game Diablo 2 ! Let's play it. But where are ... Shit ! I've lost my CD keys !
    2) Lets find (naively) a free on on internet ! I've found one on youtube, tried it, and then it blocked.
    3) I've bought one on a item-selling website, called D2ok.com. I tried and the keys were working. No installation problems. But it was still blocking. I've spend an afternoon talking to the website owner in livechat searching for a solution ; he gave me 2 new cd keys and registered them on my account battle.net.
    4) I DL the battle.net versions available (without cds) and tried again : still unworking on Europe. US WEST, EAST and ASIA are doing good.

About the firewall : I've only got avast!, the free version, and the odd thing is that it works on US East & West and Asia. But I need Europe !!

try what I had sent you in your pm and you can let me know how that goes
    thanks

EDIT - also look in your D2 folder and see if you have a file named - bncache.dat - you can delete it or to play safe move it like to your desktop and then do the reboot of computer - reset ip if you can - then try to connect
    thanks

    Port 6112 is probably blocked.

2 things come to mind - Windows firewall and whatever you use for networking gear.

Make sure port 6112 is unblocked prior to going any further with this.

I've tried to open these 6112 ports (TCP/UDP) and nothing works. But here dunno if I do well.
