Who has been scammed?

I haven't been scammed...yet. *knocks on wood* but i have had a few close calls, the old switcharoo and the anni drop thing. Got my thing back before he got there (luckily).

How about you guys? Have any stories to share or warning or things to watch out for or tips?

Tip 1:
Always recheck their item before you hit the accept button.

I have never been scammed, If i suspect something, I always keep asking a lot questions, and after a bunch of questions, the scammer can't think of any lies anymore :), and leaves the game

one time i got scammed into trading trangs armor for an account
the account was real but only had a lvl 1 barb on it

I got scammed out of my lvl 78 grizz pally by some F*** who told me if i gave him my acc and pass he'd give me the pass to some lvl 99 IK barb. I guess im kindof a dumbass huh?

HAHA lol hmm i didnt get scammed but i know i droped my gaze and someone did a trick and took it.. but thats all that happened to me.. o another tip... when ever they tell u do go somewhere to do the droping trades.., leave caz they have their reasons...

rofl this is wrong place to say this but i used to scam before i found pindle bot and from it i have got 2 enigmas 2 hotos and heaps and heaps more lol

but i dont do it anymore

I havent ever gotten scammed but last night when I was downloading a "Trivia Bot" It took my diablo II account and password and now im poor.. ****ing i was getting rich too..
Enigma,Hoto, Um'd SS,Um'd Zak, 4 Shakos, +2 Eth Zod'd Valor, Stone , Full Tals Set, Um'd Gaurdian Angel, and a bunch of other stuff on mules........ Like about same stuff...... GG i quit diablo..... -_-.

i would be pissed if my acc. got hacked.. i got 5 enigmas.. 2 ctas... eth exile and tons and tons of other good stuff

I haven't been scammed on closed yet but on open some guy was handing out small charms that turned you into some sort of bear that couldn't move at all and then getting people to goto his site before he would remove it. I just used hero editor and removed it myself.

ive never been scammed....i usually go into scam games to mess with the scammer...And a tip is that if you dont believe them ask a lot of questions that are close to the same to mess him up...and never give out your account/password..and never drop any items if your told to unless its soemthing you want to lose

Well, in one of the scamming games i met a friend and we ended up helping each other with the scams, but, i acve up scamming for good beacuase, i was xfering a char of items scammed and a char of items i found and the game dropped...so i stopped scamming after that cus i lost a sh!t load...so, now i just mess with all the scammers

I was caught in a good scam.I was gonna trade my soj for an anni and the other guy found a good spot.
He said to take it one step at a time when getting around the wall. By the time we were almost to the end, his accomplace came around which i didnt see and stole my soj. This was the first time i was scammed ); but luckly my friend gave me a free soj

I was indeed scammed out of my .09 godly account with the DnD trick. It basically puts your account on lockdown and allows the scammer to loot your whole account at will, but now im happily back into diablo II life, thats my tip, never type anything with /dnd in it.

i once scammed 5 accounts in a day with the "i'm giving away my account message me the password you want the account changed into" trick.

dnd is do not disturb mode..when people whisper you it send the message you typed i think. so if you type /dnd *accnt name* *password* the person will recieve that message i believe..

Those dnd tricks dont do crap i never tried it b4 but ppl try to scam me wit that so i play along and it gets funnier as it goes on
