Is D2 doomed?

I dont play d2 anymore nubli but it boring after 7 years of playing.

But i loved the game when i first got it just because i dont play doesnt mean it not a good game.

Any game that cost 50 bucks and will get 7 years out of me is pretty damn good.

Diablo 2 will always be around. Many people don't like it... but they still play it. Hell, I hate dueling, yet I do all the time.


I say it stays just like it is until either:

a) Blizzard releases another patch (god forbid) and it completely destroys the game. IE all items suck, mosters to hard to kill, rushing not possible, etc...

OR

b) Blizzard releases... BUM BUM BUM... Diablo 3: Lord of Addiction.


Either way it entitles Blizzard doing something. And we all know that NEVER happends.

i still think blizzard will make a diablo 3, they run in cycles, they did diablo 2 lord of destruction, then they started working on star craft ghost, now there workn on world of world craft, next will be a diablo 3, and for the record, diablo 2 will never get old!

I can see it now...Diablo 3 with the option to play in classic overhead mode OR...you can play in first person mode to get a real feel for the action.

D2 ain't leaving anytime soon. Sorry folks, the game is too original. Too classic. There will be a market for it for plenty of years. What would destroy my prediction? Of course a D3 would, but that would take Blizzard about 6 years to make, considering they are at the top of their industry and spend many years perfecting their games. For impatient bastards like me and all of you, it sucks to wait, but in the end it is worth it. Cept my time is running out, 4 years and college is done, and probably that will completely kill my gaming. College put a big dent in the time i spend gaming anyhow.

I give D2 a good 3-5 years before it dies to the incredible hacked mess that Diablo 1 is... That is unless blizzard actually releases another patch. 1.11, monsters are 3 times as easy and blessed hammer suddenly becomes fire damage

D2 is a very good game, and good games are almost always played (I mean look at how many UT1 servers are still up. People still play Doom on TCP/IP Connections!
