Wanna name a genre for them then? I'd say they're closest to street punk.

MOTHER****!! I love you people!!
I'm still a gargantuan fan of Mudvayne because they opened my music perspective, so they get credited with my liking for all the other bands. It was like a gateway drug...sure.
Black Label Society ROCKS! They sound a little bit like Black Sabbath, only better!! Everything BETTER!!
Tenacious D - One Note Song. Ohh yeah. In all seriousness though, Tribute and Wonderboy. Oh, and **** her gently.
Of ****in' course Maynard. He is a God. I don't know how he does it. I cannot wait for the new cd. Tool and APC are tied in my mind though, although Tool has more depth and more replayability. Especially songs like Aenima (played about 100x one day) and Stinkfist (just for the sheer brutality of the song...gah just thinking of it.) Lateralus took some warming up, but I'd have to say it has by far some of the best replayable song. Every time you get a new perspective, and it affects your mind differently. Ticks and Leeches, although very experimental in my mind, is a great song.
Then Kse - End of Heartache grew on me. The cd as a whole isn't as good as Alive or Just Breathing, but it almost hits that notch.
Slipknot...what can I say? They've expanded widthwise. They have the ability to use similar beats and methods of playing and change a song completely. They have a way of weaving the songs together that cannot compare to shitty bands like Three Days Grace and all other mainstream bands.
Dimmu Borgir is some weird shit, from what I've heard of it. It's pretty good shit, just a bit weird.
Black Dahlia Murder is another great band, from what I've heard. They're pretty ****in' heavy too.
Oh, yeah...forgot Alice in Chains.
By the way, like I said earlier, the only one I REALLY hate is Limp Bizkit.
I like Linkin Park, I think they're great, and they have room to grow. They just need to broaden their lyrics, because they have the skills. Otherwise they're going to lose their fanbase rather quickly. I know it's not all about fans, but they'll lose fans like me if they don't. You can't go into a hard rock and then slowly change to pop. It would be very sheisty of them.
Nirvana is good, but not genius. Green Day is pretty sweet. Let's see...DC...I actually like DC. I don't like many emo bands, but I have to admit there is a certain timbre to his voice that I like at times. They could use a good guitarist. I also wouldn't mind if he switched over to metal. You gotta think how many ****ing chicks that guy gets. Lucky dawg, he probably never even gets out of bed between shows, just orders food while they're doing their job, and they love every second of it. Come to think of it, I don't like Dashboard Confessional. He's writing lyrics all the while, while eating his 3 lb. lobster in his lofty high-rise, 5000 square foot apartment (yeah, that's about 4 floors). He does have okay poetry though.

Spoon I disagree... Les is not the best bassist alive.
I am ^_^. Nah I think Paul Gray is and no not cause hes in slipknot because of his work in the band Anal Blast.
And my favorite band would be.... Guns n Roses.
