ANY one KNOW THE Best Gaming ComP?
#1
i heard its an alien...
#2
HAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA ROFL!!

No, it's one you build yourself. A custom place. The small computer companies usually rip you off the least. Alienware rips you off BUNDLES!! Either that or buy some high quality parts from a trusted user on eBay and throw it together yourself. I'd trust a company if I were YOU. ;-)

Tip: Call their Customer Service first and make sure that they will let you talk to a person, not a computer, and are amicable (friendly).

Tip: Never buy a dell.

I'd go for these brands.

Processors: AMD
Hard Drives: Western Digital, Maxtor
Memory: Kingston, Corsair
DVD/CD: Sony
Video: ATI, NVIDIA
Sound: Creative Labs
Speakers: JBL
Monitor: Samsung, LG

I'm using a dell.

Ultimate Gaming Computer = Alienware Area 51. Can you said 3.8 ghz?
#7
I think custom comps are the best, but apparently Alien ones are pretty good...

Well, you an I live in Canada. So it would be about $6000 for an Alienware. You can customize alienware's pcs. They don't sell them comercially.

aliens arent what they used to be... customs are the best but w/e

lol everyone laugh at elterions custom title Owned By SCF Since '91 lol i felt like doing that

Dell is the worst computer you can get. It's good for 1 year, but after that, when you want to upgrade, you have to upgrade it from dell.

And no, Alienware Area 51 is not the best gaming computer.

If you got the dough...

get Voodoo's F:50:

World's first fanless PC, quite as hell, and higher quality parts than alienware's.
#12
Actually, for the right price, you can get basically anything you want on an alienware. Dell is not the worst computer in terms of quality, its just annoying that its hard to upgrade the parts.

It's true, Dells can be rip-offs. I spent $2k on mine 3 years ago when it was "the shit." Now it literally is shit. But alienware is good for speed, but in all, it sucks. The new Dell XPS computers actually have the best FPS out there (which is what you really need for a smooth game) but they come at a heavy price. So go custom!
#14
custom=bomb...and time consuming too...

God why aint i hearin mac g5 (JK even though its bad *** its for buisnesses) umm id say alien makes bad *** parts but thats if you just buy the parts and custom it but id suggest for a 14 year old to not get a comp so damn crazy good lol mostly becuase id be jelous that i couldnt get one Smile)))
#16
No mentioned the mac because it isn't really "meant" for games.
#17
Custom one. It will beat Alienware for sure, if you know what you're doing.
#18
Building a computer is not hard, when i was 15 i made my first computer, its a lot LOT cheaper and less hassle when it comes right down to it. If you make sure your parts will work together (do not buy an intel mb hopeing to put your amd 1800+ into it =P...) it should not be a problem to put one together...

/laugh, i have a p4 2.7ghz at home running at 3.9ghz... its not to hard to change the multiplier... you just need a hell of a heatsink/fan or water cooling (i am using water atm... i never played with one before~_~) though it is running stable, it not what i would call a rock solid machine (after 12+ hours of being on it starts to drop in FPS)
#19
Too bad overclocking voids your warranty.

i would go with one of my ircd's hosts dual xeons, he has 4 of them, each are HT systems, and clock at 10 ghz, with 4 gigs of memory(of course there expensive, but if you got the money, go for it), other then that i would have to go with a G5(mac), i havnt seen a pc that has been able to keep up with my old 450 mhz mac yet......G5 - dual 2.8 ghz, 8 gigs memory, 2x 250 gig hd's, 30" flat panel monitor.
