What is your view on it? Personally I think it attracts little kids to this site. They then use it and annoy everyone. Then they get banned and all is well for a while. Then it happens again. Basically what im getting at is, do you think "Leet Speak" should be allowed here? And I don't just mean things like 'l337, h4x0r, etc.' but stuff like 'wtf, omg, etc.' It is easier to type, but rather more annoying. It turns off the older members who I think are more suitable for online gaming. They have a sense of respect, not annoyance like many here.
(In a nutshell: Should D2Sector keep allowing this?)

Well, personally, I think the things like "1337" and "h4x0rz" is retarded... But things like "etc" and the other things are okay, they aren't as stupid as the leet and hacker one... But I don't think people should get punished for using "wtf" or "omg" It's just easier to type, and quicker.

I dont mean 'etc.' as bad, I meant things like 'wtf, omg, lollerskates, ne (any), reely (really)'... it gets annoying. But if this site is ever going to become more respectable it's going to have to make some changes. Otherwise it will go beyond the shithole it is now, and Spitfire will just remove everything.

I don't think they should get into any trouble, but it definitely is annoying and completely useless.
Maybe depending on how much they use it?
Also if people aren't just screwing around and using 'Leet' talk they probubly have the attitude were they're liable to be banned for other reasons.

Edit: Basically, I want this to be a respectable site for D2 players, not little battle.net kiddies who like to ruin things.

'lol' and 'omg' might be ok. They are widely used by just about everyone. But only to a certain extent. The little battle.net kiddies abuse it like theres no tomorrow.

Personally i'd much rather people to type in full and not in abbreviations. You would notice it actually makes the threads to appear alot more mature :p
I'm guilty of it myself at times. But try not too.

I mean, what the **** is a "nub"?
Nub - - -
1. the point, gist, or heart of something.
2. a knob or protuberance.
3. a lump or small piece: a nub of coal; a nub of pencil.
4. a small mass of fibers produced on a card, dyed brilliant colors, and introduced into yarn during the spinning process. Also, knub.
You ****ing lump or small piece!

Uhm, well I guess you've got a point there Spit, but oh well. I like Nubli's idea, and the idea of this site looking and being more mature.

Yeah it's a nice thought, but I'll bet almost no one reads the rules for the threads and probubly would ignore them if they did read em.

yeah it doesn get kind of annoying how some people are THAT lazy that they have to abbreviate everything. but omfg lol wtf lmao lol and a few others really arent bieng lazy its just kind of how you talk on the internet. i mean when i use them i don't even take mind to it it just comes natural. for stupid things like 1337 h4x00rz lollerskates and things like that are just annoying. same with ne wut wuz r u sk8r and stuff that you could take 5 more second just to type the word.
