Why ladder?

I played ladder to be the top barb, and I did that so I got bored and went back to nonladder. I was top barb till like a month ago, and i was in top 15 overall, but then i quit around 95, got too boring just lvling. I had shit gear too cuz all i ever did was baal.

I like ladder because of the fact Blizzard accually updates those servers. So your always getting the latest out of D2. Plus you get motivation to keep playing even after you got all your characters finished...GET ON THAT LADDER!

Ladder is crappy, I played on it for 5 months and hated every day of it. I've been playing nonladder for about 2 months now and I think its awesome. Just my opinion though.

nonladder is actually easyer becouse there is hacked items and stuff and dupes so its all corrupt to bad season 2 got ruined when nonladder chars were able to go on for like 20 minutes

by hacked items i mean 290s, imp brows, afletches

NL is just meh.
Corrupted economy makes it not worth it to play, I could never return. And once this ladder season ends, I'll restart without a doubt cause I despise NL!
too many dupes, hacks, everything, it's corrupted.
NL in a way is like open, it stinks and is no fun.... in 10 years from now at my reunion, I want to be able to say, ohhh, I found azurewrath or some other ladder-only items :p
No one will care if I had a weapon doing 2500-3700dmg and I killed 10 diablos/5 baals in a single room :p

theres been a major crack down on non ladder recently. more people are gettin banned and the duped stuff is starting to disappear faster. if u want to perm somethin or ne of ur runes and ur on nl start makin runewords now. or ull lose it all.

Y LADDER...I will tell u why ladder...ladder is just better in every way...it brgs back the worth in actual items becuz runes are rly not that great since u can make them in the cube......i mean ladder just brgs back the old ways of diablo which means the items are the power not the stupid runes and the runewards..... i mean yah ppl use runewards on ladder ... but ppl on ladder also make a use for items and just not runewards like on nonladder.... nonladder is a joke

Ladder has generally nicer people. People go there to start something anew. A lot of people like myself want to start out with nothing earn our stuff and in the end be able to say i got a lvl 90 character without rushing, without bots, or without hacks (im not saying everybody on laddder is like that in facts its about 5% of people thinking that). The runewords are great, and i love the currency over Non-Ladders. The difficulty is increased which is to me a great plus because its just not fun when you slice through every enemy with ease. And all my time ive been on diablo 2 i have been on ladder for most of the time. (for a month i was NL when the 1.10 patch just came out)
I have been through diablo 2 longer than a lot of people, And I would say Ladder is probably the greatest thing that has ever happened to Diablo 2.

ya i agree about the 32020 thing, ive played nl for awhile and i started ladder a little while ago and thinking on it, not having 32020s makes it so much easier because that means there can be a currency, like ists, that can be found, or made for that matter

ppl may have joined ladder to try and get on the ladder list; some may have joined ladder to see if they can get any of those 23 ladder-only runewords working; mayb some joined just because it's different and something new; theres a number of reasons take your pick.

I think new players do it just because.. like when u make a new char it like LADDER people probably think.. cool i gonna go ladder..

I like ladder because it's breaking ahead with newer, greater things, and items that give auras, cool stuff, and there's UPDATES. rock on.
