those I believe are ways to "play" a note or tab. Instead of actually picking/strumming the string....at least I think thats right.

Ok, a Bend is when you hit the note, and then use your fretting hand to move the strings up towards another string. It changes the pitch of the note you played.

Vibrato is when you do a bend, but you sort of shake it. like u move ur finger up and down really fast.

Slide is when you play a note, but you slide your hand down to another fret, while still pushing down.

Hammer ons are when you hit a note, and take another finger and tap another fret closer to the bridge

Pull offs are the same thing, but it's when you play a note, and remove your finger from the fret. it's like a reverse hammer on.

Yeah but vibrato is moving your hand left and right while staying on the same fret.

For the timed note part, I just listen to the song.

Thx dude.........
and euhm...........

If we say :

E |-------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B |-------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G |----------------------------------1b2-----------------------------------------|
D |-------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A |--------3/4-------------------------------------------------------------------|
E |-------------------------------------------------------------------------------|

3/4 means u slide from 3 to 4......right???

1b2 means u bend from fret2 to make the sound of fret1 or u bend from fret1 to make sound of fret2????????

lol. I've never seen a tab like that (1b2) Doesn't work. A bend on a tab usually looks like (1^^^) , telling you it's supposed to move up.

Just listen to the song, the problem with tabs is that you can't tell someone exactly what the song sounds like. So you just listen to the song you want to play, and then play it to the best of your ability.

By the way. "up" is up towards the thickest string... or the lower one, doesn't really matter, because all youre doing is adding more tension to it.

Ok......And you said you never saw 1b2 to bend.........On the website I posted, they give lessons to learn tabs.....There is the lesson they gave 4 Bending

Ultimate-Guitar.com Wrote:Bends:

E|--------------
B|--------------
G|--------------
D|-3b4----------
A|--------------
E|--------------

What do I do? WHAT DO I DO?!!!!!!!!

Fear not.
Firstly, put your finger on the forth fret of D and play it. That is what you want it to sound like. Now, what you want to do is put your finger on the third fret, play the string and bend it so it makes the excact same sound as fret four. Got it? It's not that hard.

Do you have any way to tune your guitar?

that's a good lesson, but that's not how I learned it. Just keep practicing that one bend until it sounds right to you, and continue from there

I'm using accoustic

But I don't think mom would buy an electric yet.........

I played on this1 only about a month........

And mom doesn't give me 300$'s gifts every birthday....

Plus , She just bought me a new comp so, I think she wouldn't buy me an other guitar

She'd say : Learn to play on this1 1st.........and then maybe I'll buy you an electric.....

Btw, What's the difference between electric or accoustic ( except 4 the sound ..... of course )

It's alot easier to bend the strings and play and stuff, but your mom is right.

Learn to play on the acoustic first, it will toughen up your fingers for use on the electric.
