He added that after we all said that we will be banned, so we did read, you just didnt read before he edited.

I think its a great idea it'll definatly stop alot of little kids from coming in here and spamming and reduce the amount of accounts being made because alot of kids are to lazy to use their internet services email

my bad. i didnt see a "last edited by cheshire anywhere"

It sounds great to me. It's just that (in my opinion) we probably won't have as many members signing up but on the other hand... we don't have those 2000 spamming accounts that were just deleted. It's a win-win situation.

i think its stupid and many ppl might leave :blank:
#28
Not a good plan. Many people use free e-mail services because they don't pay the bills.
#29
i dont think it good cus i just signed up for gmail and now i cant change my email.
#30
lol..
#31
OK! Look at what Chesh said! It will not affect you! Only noobs that want to sign up.
#32
I know, it's not going to work, because most people use free e-mail, because they don't pay bills.
#33
I think this idea is both good and bad, good because we will have less spammers, and people can't constantly make new email addresses and keep signing up, but bad because alot of people playing D2 use AOL, MSN, Hotmail, Yahoo! etc. So we would essentially be losing out on members. But can't you just let people use free email addresses and just IPBan them so they can't come back?
#34
wow that is a great idea!!!! im with 3KeYz just IPBan them....
#35
You can't IP ban AOL without affecting everyone else with AOL. That's not always an option.
#36
Hmmm good idea but, as u should realize people with aol can sign on with a different Ip everytime. That is the downside.
#37
Well, good point, but it really kills off all of our new members. Alot of people that play Diablo II usually only have a free e-mail account, or not one at all, so they won't get a chance to be apart of the forum.
#38
Yes I no what you mean... But this is why we are having this discussion, to see what to do. If I was Chesh it would suck but to keep the forums alive he would have to just keep watching the forums for ilike or w/e and others that resign on.
#39
That would require way too much time. I have a life outside these forums. And I'm not going to sit here every day trying to get rid of idiots. YOU are having the discussion to see what you want done, but it's just not gonna happen. I don't even know why you guys think things will change because a few people don't like it. BTW tolame, you're a complete retard, i.e. ilikelilkids, yeah I saw ilikelilkids and every other name you've tried using, but it's just not going to work. I will be reporting you to your School and ISP for "Unauthorized access". You were banned, that means you are not welcome here any more. What you are doing is illegal by the way. I hope you parents enjoy the fine they will recieve after you go to court. Smile
