ok, i'm not sure if it's true or not, since i only heard it on mancow in the morning, but:
Dave chapelle is now in an insane asylum in south africa. and there may not be a season 3. it shows how drugs can **** up your brain.
now i'm not sure how true it is. if it's true, comments? if not, close this thread and i'm sry

I'm 90% sure its true, I first heard it about a week ago. All advertisments for his 3rd season have vanished= true to me.

Yeah, he's not in an asylum I don't think. Just chilling out. They say that the fame got to his head. It'd get to mine...most famous comedian of the year 2004-5...

I was so relieved to find out that Dave is just takin a break with a few of his friends... gah i love this man.. hes a comic genious.. there is no one near as funny as Dave, and i almost cried and was deeply shocked when i first heard the horrible rumor about his mental break down..... i dont see how this man could be sad when he just made $50 milllion off of his 1st season DVD... thats incredible....

he's getting rich off his first 2 seasons but the problem is that they are so great that it's hard to follow up on them. it's like trying to beat your own high score on a video game, it's incredibly hard because it is your own absolute best

They ran a "special" about this on NPR but I think its all some crazy publicity stunt that is VERY Jacksonesque in nature. But hay its damn funny if he is in an assylum in South Africa of all places.

I have never watched Dave Chapelle because I rarely watch the comedy shows that are by real people. I heard a lot about him from my friends though. They said he's really funny and my cousins watch his show. It would have been pretty sad if someone made a fourtune and then lost it all because of a mental illness. But happily it wasn't true

What I meant to say was that I only watch comedy cartoons lol sry if I forgot to mention Cartoon. I like watching south park and simpsons, family guy and shows like that.
