getting your new sig to show

this is a somewhat noob tutorial, but believe me, i was asked how to get it to work.

copy the link the sig maker next to the sig. then go click on links at the top of the page next to user/cp. go down towards the bottum and click edit signature. it should come up with a box that looks like a reply box. at the top of the box, is the image of a small yellow mountain. click on that. it should ask you for the url of the picture. then paste the link the maker gave with the sig there and hit ok. It will show up unless it was made too big. at which point ask the maker to please resize it.

should there be no link, highlight the sig, right-click and select properties. there will be the link at the bottum of the three.

If you are making a sig and don't know where to get the link, go to www.imageshack.com and host the sig. place the link next to the sig, but you guys already knew that.

Should put it in point form so it's easier to read.

- Host your signautre with Photobucket.com/Imghst.com/ImagsShack.us
- Copy the URL of the uploaded image
- Get on D2Sector.net's Forum
- Click on the "User C/P" link, to the left of the "Links" button.
- Now find a link on the left side of the screen that says Edit Signature
- Now you will see a window, similar to the one in which you post in. Now paste the uploaded images link in the window.
- Now you haved to put tags around the image URL so that it shows up, instead of just leaving a link to it in your signature. With the tags, the signature should look like this: [*IMG*]IMAGE URL[*IMG] (without *asterix's)

damn it i didn't see the old thread. i thought this was original. oh well. i got the idea because someone did ask me. now they may see this thread and be like "oh so that how you do it." and click on the most recent post here from the forums home. it wasn't a total loss.
