game keeps crashing at startup

i had normal d2 installed the other day i havn't played it for bout a year or more, and i installed xpac today, and it installed and all, but it crashes when i click play game. and then it pops up and says to insert the diablo ii expansion disk in and stuff, i reinstalled and still have this problem, any ideas?

it gets error msg , then pops up saying insert d2 expansion cd, wich i have in..

just says it encountered a problem and needs to close

nah normal diablo didn't crash untill installed xpansion

Maybe its the xpansion disc i guess you need a new one ore something

just play non expansion until you get a new one ore you could check on a friends computer or something if its the disc you know ?

same thing happened to me. it would only let me play if i was admin on my comp. try that.

maybe after 2 yrs it got messed up or something

yeah it would only let me play if i was admin b/c the diablo xpac disk is a install/play disc so ur comp reads it as something trying to install, which u have to be admin to do.

uh, i never heard of that, why don't u tell me how or what u did, i have aim/icq/msn and am on irc if we can talk on those
