on adult swim there a show called paranoia agent. for me the story line i get but sometimes it confuses me. first i thought they caught him now now he's still on the streets. can someone explian to me about this show:confused:

Wierd, wierd show. Some guys set up a camera in the chicks room, taking pictures of her undressing, then spam her computer with it. Makes me go WTF?

ok the last episode was on the other night, it had to do with moromi (the pink dog thing) and little slugger being the same and it had to do with the artist. There was this guy that fought little slugger but little slugger just kept regenerating. The artist who drew moromi showed her art work and it had a picture of little slugger in the backround. The little girl runs away from little slugger while the guy fights him because little slugger is coming after her and she runs into the detective thats the sick ladys husband and all the sudden little slugger vanishes. I think it was because the artist finally got out of being backed into a corner so her creation dissappeared i dunno its confusing and my explaination probably didnt help at all.

uhm all i can say is well about little slugger. *this show is UBER-F^ ^'d up* well somthin pissed him off or w/e so like he is going around after people. hitting him with his dented bat roflmlfao. jeez.. so.. yea... there was also another episode where there were 3 people who were talking online with wierd lil dumb names like. Dragon-xhi and Zanghui etc. which then there were 2 older guys 1 guy who is like 25 years old and this little dumb girl which then all three guys try to commit suicide... o.O" by doing ALOT of things...

about little slugger...he come after ppl who have been driven into corners(stressed out or in trouble with ppl/things ect.) and he kills them. The police try tocome after him as they show the detective that got fired. He can't really be killed i think. (example when the guy i mentoined cut him and his back in half and he regenerated) Personaly i hate the idea of little slugger because he kills ppl who r driven inot corners but they can always get out of the problem but he kills them first(example: the detective's wife who wanted to die changed her mind and got the will to live so when little slugger cam,e he couldn't kill her because she didn't wan't to die and she drove him back by calling him and moromi the same in that he like moromi delude ppl of the truth. IT's a confusing show trust me.

yes it is a confusing show, which is why i kinda like it. and i watch it just to see slugger beat the living s^ ^ out of people. roflmfao and yeah all she had to say is "i wanted to die" or w/e and slugger would smash her face against the wall leaving a puddle of blood on the floor and the walls splattered with blood too rofl...

From what I can gather the main character, Little Slugger, is suffering from an ever widening break from reality brought on by a number of factors ranging from stress to a strange online game that resembles .hack/sign and he seems to be obssessed with. Because of this psycotic break instead of just having any random dillusions he is substituting game NPC's in place of actual people and himself as some rightous hero or slayer. To further this he relates people according to their particular perdiciments with certian NPC's that relate to that perdiciment. The main reason this happens is because of his almost scary obsession with the game which he is constantly striving to make a name for himself on or at least trying to further the name he already has.
When you put all of what I said together Little Slugger is killing because he see's the people he is killing as competition for being #1 in an online game. Thus the title Paranioa Agent refers to the game being the true agent of the boys paranoia, or fear of not getting #1 or holding #1. At least thats what I can gather from the few episodes that I have watched.

no little slugger isn't a person. In the later episodes and when this guy with a sword is fighting him he becomes demon like. he gets big with big red glowing demon eyes and almost fangs with like massive razor sharp teeth so i know he's not human. I think he is spawned from the artist in the pictures that moromi was in also and he goes around killing and gettign more powerful but when the artist's problems go away when she finds the detective her creation little slugger is no more because at the end of the last episode all the moromi stuff is gone to and he and moromi were esencially 1 in the same so they both dissappeared.

but River Shamen you are comparing it to what if it were compared to a game. ;o Really he is just killing people who want to do for somthing they wished they had not done or losing someone they love they will never get back. ya know? even people with guilt. hehe..

yes exactly he kills people who wish to die. It showed that when he went to kill the detectives wife but when he got there the wife had gotten the will to live so he kept swinging at her but he coulndn't kill her

well he dosen't kill people who want to die. remember the episode with ichi the kid who wanted to be class pressident or whatever and the fat kid (cant remember his name) tryed to do the same, and the fat kid ened up getting killed or at least hit and then eveybody else thought it was ichi who kill him. so ichi was "paranoid" and little slugger came after him too. so he just goes and hits/kills people who are "paranoid" about something or another; but i guess i could be wrong thats just how i think little slugger picks the people. but i do agree that its one of the MOST F*CKED UP SHOWS ive ever seen. i mean fooly cooly was more understanable then paranoia agent...ok long post im done.

does anyone besides me like this kinda [email=f%@#%]f%@#%[/email] behond belief show? some scenes are just...........awesome as there was one episode where there was 2 guys 1 who seemed 50 years old and another who seemed to be 30 to 24 years old then a little girl who is like 9.... and they all end up trying to commit suicide... ehm.... so yea... does anyone here like it?

Beyond belief has those shitty puns about each story but its fun to watch some times. As for paranoia agent, i find it very confusing and random, but still fun to watch.

ya know what i dont like.... there intro theme with everyone giggling ... it drives me senselessly mad with anger in my eyes and just makes me wanan throw them at a wall or somthing and take slugger's bat and hit them in the face multiple times until the blood doesnt splatter anymore.. roflmfao OvErKiLl ^.~ AHHAHAHA~

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! HAAAAAAAAAAAH AAHHHHHHHHHHH OOOOOOOH OOOOOH!!! Anyways, to sum up Paranoia Agent, Lil' Slugger is just a made up character the girl Tsukiko Usagi (creator of Maromi) made up when she was a little girl. Her puppy Maromi was ran over by a car, so she made up the story of Lil' Slugger attacking her, which was the reason why she let go of Maromi's leesh and she ran into the road and got run over, when really she wasnt paying attention and let go of it herself. Because she made up Lil' Slugger, over the years people began to "use" the Lil' Slugger story as an escape to get out of a corner. It got so bad, it made one detective become so paranoid over the existence of the Lil' Slugger, he turned himself into "Radar Man". The only way to defeat the Lil' Slugger is to overcome your own paranoia and face the reality of what is, or else the paranoia will consume you.

Oh yeah, I like it quite a bit, one of the better complex anime out there I think. It doesnt throw a bunch of symbolism at you or random quotes out of a textbook, nor does it go on for more than one season, making it an easily digestable watch.
My only gripe really with Paranoia Agent is, I liked the Lil' Sluggers character in the early episodes, especially when we meet the actual kid who was going around and clubbing people over the head thinking he was in some kind of rpg world, yet he too just had fall to the Lil' Slugger legend.

and i think it was a repeat from a month ago? meh... anyways im not even ganna say which one... ya know the little fury pink thing that talks with a high pitched girl-animal voice? o.O that thing gets annoying at times :\ what do YOU think of that thing... b/c ya know it switchs to a different scene then like it starts moving around the screen like its "cute" and talks about who is the publisher blah blah blah... *like the one where the guy is working there making the pink thing... who kill someone and fears about slugger comming for him... blah..* b/c that thing just really annoys me at times... sigh* they should switch to a different style like.... anime not realistic.... i hate realistic type drawn....?anime.? |
