Yep, it's been a long time since I've posted a song or anything.

While I was on the mic with my girlfriend, I decided to play guitar and she recorded it... the sneaky btch.

Well, here it is.

I play it with a Washburn Dime V with a Bill Lawrence L-500XL pickup, into a Behringer LX1200H amp with tons of gain, and then into a Laney 4x12 speaker cabinet with Celestion whatevers.

Contructive criticism. Remember that it's just jamming, there's nothing serious going into that.

I sliced my finger towards the end of the track. I was playing and my strings kept getting caught in the bits of flesh.

It becomes really obvious at the end, you can probably hear me laughing. Right after the solo.

Oh and for an Avid Pantera fan you dont play their material that well , but Creeping Death sounds good. Only thing is the hammering on and off in the fast part PRACTICE DAMNIT.

You could always play Nirvana songs... which I hate, but they're easy as hell to learn, even with the solos.

Or you could just practice your *** off, like I have, and work on your rhythm until you feel you're ready to play solos.

An easy solo that sounds amazing is the harmony in Metallica's Master of Puppets. Anyone can play that.

I know. I've only been playing for a year, though. Seems like longer.

I'm still getting used to all my new gear. I've only had the cab for two days and I just dropped my pickup in the guitar last night, so I have alot of tweaking to do. It sounds alot better when all my stuff is optimized.

I practice TONS. With school starting, I'll be playing 5 hours a day. I'm taking a recording class in schoo also, so I'll be able to learn how to master my tracks and everything.

heh, I've been posting around ug forums and all of them can play alot harder stuff for how long they've been playing. I've been playing 2 years and I suck. I'm learning the sweet child o' mine solo right now. I don't usually practice as much as pantallica i.e. 4 hours a day lol. But I think for this I'll practice it until I get it.

to be honest ive never really been impressed with metal quitar that much, i much prefer stuff like hendrix for instance, or blues(i know kinda random but i love it), but that wasnt that bad. The speakers on this comp suck, so im gunna try the ones on my other one later and see what it ACTUALLY sounds like. For only a year, thats really not bad.

This guys not too nice, and seems a little ignorant. You should prolly learn to appreciate more than just one kind of music, it not only enriches your mind, but also makes you a more interesting person to other people.
