help with hero editor please

Hero editor v0.82 always worked when i used now i updated and it says cannout find diablo on ur computer so i found it and opened my chars saved game file then it says character file to small so i deleted both hero editors and reinstalled v0.82 and it says the same erros so please help

... if you read the description.. it says you have to install v.80 first.

y not just install version 9? that y u just need to download 1 instead of 2 plus its a newer version

You are probably trying to open an old character file. Login to B.Net, and your D2 will get updated to the V1.11b patch. Then, open and exit/save EACH of your character files. Then you should be able to open and edit your character files in Hero Editor.

If you use an old version of Hero Editor, it will give a default message of "character file too small" for old version character files. Hero Editor V0.90 and V0.95 will give you a proper error message.

I am presently working on Hero Editor V0.95, but I have not released it yet. And, no promises about when I will release it either.
