can somebody post the program where you can choose what programs you want to have startup when windows starts if that makes sense? i remember that you type something in "Run..." in the start menu but i can't remember what blank:

start > run > msconfig

Personall, I like RegSeeker, as it's small, won't add itself to the startup entries list, and can do many other useful things as well.

Also try SpyBot S&D and activate the Resident part of it. It will ask you to allow / deny registry changes to the startup etc. So you can block those pesky programs that seem to re-add themselves all the time.

Microsoft AntiSpyware does that too, although I prefer TeaTimer (Soybot's) over it.
