I know I'm posting this w/ USC already having a 7-0 lead, but I believed before this game started and even now that USC will win. They are an incredible team with two future NFL RB's and one future NFL QB...There is no denying this team.
I'm still rooting Texas, game is still early. Let's see all of the tricks Young can pull out of his hat

Number 16 (Thomas) was my non-Vince offensive MVP for the game. He never dropped a pass, and he had hands like I couldn't believe. I hope everyone saw that pass that he dived for and caught perfectly. Awesome tight end.
Also, I think number 25 (I don't remember the name) was incredible too, he could shift direction on a dime and that definitely tripped the defense up. I think one of the announcers said "He's like a wisp of smoke; he's there one second and gone the next." Great game, it kicked utter ass when they won because I was about to go to bed after that last touchdown that USC had in the final minutes of the fourth quarter, but I just decided to turn it on again instead. My dad told me about one of the very good plays they ran, the Veer. He said that the coach for UofH first designed the play, and it was unstoppable then, because none of the other coaches knew how to defend against it. Basically you'd step back, fake a pass while the other player ran forward, and you would use him as a sort of shield to keep them off while you rushed. It worked wonderfully in several places during the game. |
