I wouldn't saying playing legit is noobish. It's really all about preference and time. I love you use maphack cuase between work, hanging out with friends doing work around the house I dont have alot of time. But I like to post on forums and play d2 maphack just speed's up things and allow's me to rush friends and still have time to do stuff i want to do.
I will say this tho wether you use maphack or play legit doen't make you a noob. Everyone plays how they want too.

He didn't just say map hack, he said cheating in general. Either way, it is all stupid.
Why would you cheat on Diablo II? For god sakes it's DIABLO II! The starter of this thread must be a total ****** if he has to cheat to get ahead in game. It's actually 'Grammar' but okay I guess we see your point  . Anyways I think it is just the preference of whoever is playing. If you like a challange then by all means do it without and outside help, if you want to get through the game quick by all means cheat.

Well I didnt use map hack for the first year i was playing cuase the challenge was fun but then my friend gave me maphack mousepad. So he was the one that got me started on maphack every since then its so easy to find where you are going. As far as bot's go I have never been able to get one to work right on my comp.

I personally have never used a hack and probably wont ever. If I do well enough I would want to develop some sort of pride for what i was able to do (in a video game... sad) but I can understand why people would want to use maphack to make the game easier. I'm not set against hacking whether it be duping or whatever I would just rather that the hackers stay away from me and the other "legit noobs" because of the fact that nothing they have waving in our faces was really earned through as much time and effort (not sure if effort is the proper term for playing a game but oh well) as was spent by us "legit noobs". So therefore, not to affend anyone or anything, that in my opinion the noobs aren't the people playing legit but the people who have to use hacks and also the people that go out onto ebay and other sites and buy items, characters, and accounts.

I hate cheating but then again I love cheating.
You have Diablo cheating. Bots, MH, etc. Then there is the bad cheats like when people do the image hack in trades.
Same in Halo. Modding in custom games is hillarious. Having a modder on your team and win in hillarious. Modder on the other team is a no go.
