a few months ago i was not able to log onto battle net so i let a friend of mine barrow my game cdkeys. he got my acc muted and now i am able to get back onto battle net and an still muted so to fix this do i just need a new lod cd key? if so whst easiest way to get 1 i know a lot of stores dont like ppl returning computer games.

if your cdkey is muted u could only chat and play ingame your banned from channels and whisperen with flist

best thing to do is use that key for hacks or something and get a new key devilish:

You can get CD keys muted!? I had no idea you could why would blizz do that...spamming a lot or something? I'd just pick up a copy of LoD at best buy or something, It's fairly old but people still buy it so some stores still have it or at least the battle chest...okay battle chest is gay since it comes with stupid shit you don't need but meh.

i too got muted one battle.net, but it was only for 24 hours, to get perm mute it msut be for heavy spamming, but like all of battle.nets consequences, it goes 24 hours 3 months perm. so id wait three months, you cant sill play the game and everything u jsut cant whisper people, if after the three months your still muted then id buy a new game, or get a cdkey from somewhere else.

My bro was on my account and spammed my clan name in the tech support channel and got my account muted. Then I complained and after a week they finally gave in and unmuted me =)

I'll tell you what you can do, go buy the Diablo battlechest at a store that returnes open items, when you get home copy the cd key and return it in a day or two for a full refund, it works i have many cd keys that i use for bots and such.

If you or your friend did NOT do anything against battle.net rules, (trolling, hacking, et cetera) than contact them, explain and proove your situation and you'll be unmuted in no time.

There used to be a form on bnet that you could fill out and submit to plead for mercy. I guess they took it down http://www.blizzard.com/support/?id=adt0637p . That sucks. If anything, plop down $20 for a new d2 classic cdkey (or lod, cant remember which one is actually muted)

most stores dont give refunds on open computer games though because of the fact that they require cd keys to play, so the most he could get is an exchange.

I was going to give you the same advice, I actually made a KeyNote node for it (a program that works a lot like a computerized card file, I use it for things I post on forums a lot)...

Find a store that offers cash back on returned items. Buy the Diablo II Battle Chest, jot down the CD keys and return the item to the stores for your cash back. Gotta love playing the system = )

This has happen to me 3 times and i finally emailed bnet about it.. Just send them your acount name password and cdkey and tell them what had happen and they should unmute it..
