Making Cheap But Effective Smiter

Hey guys I want to make a smiter, mainly because I'm ubering.

I'm not terribly rich, but i can afford to trade and get Eexile, CoH, and an ammy or rings, but I definately at the moment cant afford anything to trade for Grief or Fort.

Can anyone name some gear, where as the most valuable would be exile, for a smiter?

well i suggest you ditch the exile get a hoz, use goblin toes and if you cant afford greif(last wish is better) use that runework that gives c/b i think its black

Edit- yes it's black, the hoz needs to be up'd and...dungos belt. Also I have dracs for trade if you need them, cheap.

EDIT AGAIN- Keep remembering stuff... also get [SIZE=-1]Treachery (Assassin) for a cheap but effective fade effect.

ditch the exile? -.- fyi dracs cant get lifetap fast enough on ubers.
uped hoz is pointless in pvm. its just a GM dueling shield

heres a nice build that could easily do ubers

guillaums (umed)
black flail
gores
exile (must have high resists tho)
tgods or a rare belt with some good res
rings = rings with str/dex and some good res
ammy is maras as always
armor is coh.

with this u shouldnt have any problem at all solo'ing them
on switch its good to have cta but not essential

if u think u can afford it, an astreons shaeled would be better than a black imo, or a stormlash with ber (ber gives cb on weapons right?)

If you get an uped hoz with um + it is more effective than exile. My friend was a 30 sec uber killer. As for dracs it's the + str and yes you can get lifetap easily(back to friend)

His setup:

Uped goblin toes
dungos
forget rings...
Maras
Dracs up'd hoz

u seem to forget that this is a CHEAP smiter.. ur friends' seems not very cheap if u ask me..

now i dont care about ur friend, i know from my own experienc eif ur gear is cheap (including charms) 95% chance u wont be able to survive, and 5% chance u will, since ull have 5% chance of lifetap with dracs.
ur friend seems good enough to me so that he can survive long enough without needing lifetap in the begining. either that or he has a lifetap wand, but those get annoying

plus i dont see how or why a upped hoz is better than a good exile, care to explain?

Because of the massive C/B dammage wise no it's not better, but the resistances and skills given help even it out. While he was rich, it was meerly an example on how it was apart of his build. Also using HOZ frees up ressources used for other items. Additionally I offerd to sell him a pair of dracs for cheap. However I won't deny having a lifetap charge helps a lot or a friend with a new to tap them.

smiter gear is expensive but an uped hoz is just as good as a low exile so its a win win but u have to have marahs coh and dracs or ur in trouble
